Service, although, I've been to friendlier settings, is polite and very efficient, from check-in to check-out and any request throughout. Israel, the Concierge, was very helpful and eager to source what we needed/wanted. The rooms were spacious and lovely.

Quebec City is lovely, but does require a level of physical...
Quebec City is lovely, but does require a level of physical fitness to properly visit and explore. We stayed two nights, but could have explored a bit more neighborhoods and museums if we were there one or two more nights. We did spend a morning on Ile D;Orleans (with a booking.com tour) and really enjoyed the experience. The city is not a large city but really does have a European vibe and is lovely to walk around and experience a romantic weekend.

We were on foot and the Hotel is great for walking...
We were on foot and the Hotel is great for walking everywhere. We ate at so many different places from stands in Old Quebec to restaurants. You don't need a car to see Old Quebec, just two feet and a heart beat. We are in our 80's, so if we can do it so can you.

Quebec City has the ability to transport you to a beautiful and magical world! It holds special meaning to our family but each visit is something new. We took advantage of the whale watching tour, the aquarium and we walked for hours exploring the old town shops and cafes.

What we really loved about Québec City is its very European...
What we really loved about Québec City is its very European feel—probably the closest you’ll get to Europe without leaving Canada. We had beautiful weather all weekend, so we spent a lot of time outdoors, enjoying the city and its amazing terraces.
We also visited a few fully vegan restaurants and diners, and I was pleasantly surprised by just how vegan-friendly Québec City is. It’s a great place for vegans to visit, since most restaurants seem to have at least a few vegan options.
The city itself is simply beautiful, and almost everyone we met was warm and friendly and genuinely seemed happy to be there. It made the whole weekend that much more enjoyable.
We also really enjoyed the history of Québec City. It’s one of the oldest cities in North America, and you can really feel that history as you walk around. It was one of the earliest centres of French colonization, and so many of its historic buildings are still standing and beautifully preserved.
We happened to meet a gentleman who grew up in Québec City and knew its history incredibly well. He shared all kinds of stories with us about the early colonists and how different historic buildings had changed uses over the centuries—what they had originally been built for and what they later became.
I wish I could remember all the details and which building became what! I was definitely listening and really enjoying his stories, but apparently my brain wasn’t taking notes at the same time. 😄
If you visit Québec City, be sure to see Chute Montmorency, or Montmorency Falls. It’s a beautiful area with spectacular scenery.

Lovely city with European charm. 99% of the signs are in French, but the locals are bi-lingual. Language is not a problem.
Take the Hop On, Hop Off tour - it gives a good overview of the city and covers a lot of different areas.

Loved Old Quebec , beautiful historic buildings. Recommend a walking tour. Many excellent restaurants with great food. So much history also many artisans, Art shops, would recommend to everyone. definitely will visit here again. Would recommend

The location has a bus route that was about 10 minutes into the old town. Not the hotels fault, but the trip back to the hotel took so long due to construction, it was quicker to walk.
There was no house keeping for the four days we were there. The facilities are more like a hostel but you had your own bath room.
It was ok, nothing to encourage a second stay. The receptionist did a good job assisting us for our questions of the area.
The area was quite at night.

The hotel was clean and full of style everywhere, and of course, the rooms were spotless. The CABU restaurant also had a chic interior design, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes that tasted excellent, with friendly restaurant staff.
We stayed in a mountain view room, which had a nice view, but I would recommend the Old Town and River View rooms if you can. I think you'll be able to see an even more wonderful view.

We booked this for its view towards the Fairmont Chateau. We asked and got 4 of our 5 rooms facing that way. However it is long 20 minutes walk to the old town.
The room was large and comfortable. All the amenities that a traveller wants was available. It was clean.
