This property was clean and comfortable. William was extremely helpful and accommodating getting us a place to stay when there were no hotels in Sioux st Marie. A lifesaver!
Located 10 km from North Channels Islands Provincial Park, this Iron Bridge motel features an on-site restaurant and bar. Free WiFi and a cable TV are offered in all guest rooms.

The picture shown did not accurately represent the room we were given. Our room had carpeting instead of new laminate or wood flooring as shown in the photo. Everything about the room was outdated, which was disappointing based on the price being $177 Canadian. There was a Tim Hortons very close to the hotel, thankfully, because the hotel restaurant doesn’t open until 4:00 and the coffee maker in our room didn’t work properly. There were no other options in town on the day we stayed there. The coffee wouldn’t drain from the basket. The room smelled very stale. We did enjoy sitting outside in the evening, and they had picnic tables and a couple chairs along the lake, but very rustic type stuff.

View from room was nice, but the room was not as pictured.
View from room was nice, but the room was not as pictured. More run down than it looks. Our room had old carpet not hardwood / hardwood looking floors in the main room. We also asked for larger beds and got two tiny double beds too small to sleep together (and we’re both pretty small people).
Property was dated and in need of maintenance - looked like some sloppy-ish DIY was attempted to spruce up the bathroom which was better than nothing I suppose, but there were stains on the walls, ceilings, and several cobwebs in the bathroom (more than what should have been overlooked). They painted right over rusty hinges on the doors. Other than that the room was clean.
Walls were thin and noisily neighbors kept us awake. I found the bed comfortable enough (though it was squeaky), but my husband did not.
The owners seemed friendly but I thought it was strange they asked us to fill out a paper form after we booked online.
Thankfully overall the room was clean, and the bed was not terrible and had clean crisp white sheets and bedding and the bathroom was acceptable. Also appreciated the mini fridge in the room.
It wasn’t the worst motel I have stayed in and I understand these small motels often have a hard time affording upkeep and upgrading, but the dirty walls in the bathroom and the cobwebs should have been cleaned up at a minimum. I still prefer Hilton & Holiday Inn chains for better consistency in quality and cleanliness but the timing on our road trip worked out to be between Sudbury and Sault St Marie so this looked like the best place overall. Next time I might just drive a bit further to stay in a chain. I certainly wouldn’t make this my destination.

The place is perfect if you are traveling on the road and need a stop over in the region. Directly on the lake, little private beach for the hotel. Very easily accessible coming in or out the main provincial road. Modern Esso gas station with a Tim Horton right across the street.
Not too much traffic seems to go there and the way the Hotel / motel is designed we did not see or ear it from the room.
Relaxing place with rooms overlooking the water.
The room was clean and it was quiet at night.
I would not go there for a long vacation as the place remains very basic and it is next to a provincial road, but it is really an ideal place for a 1 to 3 nights stay on the road.
A full restaurant is advertise directly at the Hotel / motel, we were not able to eat there as their was not much left but apparently the food is good when there is availability.
I would without hesitation go back there if I travel to the region.

It’s a comfortable and budget-friendly motel in Thessalon with plenty of space, a lovely backyard, and a peaceful countryside vibe. The caretaker, Mr. Abu, was exceptionally helpful, and they even provide fresh eggs from the chickens they raise on the property, adding a nice, homey touch to the stay. There’s a beach just a 10-minute drive away and a nearby convenience store. Overall, it’s a great spot to rest during a long drive, offering a serene escape from the city.
A dated but clean and comfortable motel on the perfect beach in the middle of nowhere! We came in for 2 nights and stayed for week. on the outskirts of Thessalon, this is a perfect hidden gem to sit and enjoy the lake on a private Sandy beach and see the most incredible sunsets. The only downside was there are no kitchenettes, however there is a very good restaurant on the property.
The view was amazing. The shower had excellent water pressure and heat. Close to town and quick drive to a beautiful hike near Wharncliff. The people in Thessalon are beyond friendly, and it was a perfect weekend away in a small town, just what we were looking for. In room thermostat control and the heater works well.
