We had an amazing stay at the Blue Horizon! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ready to help with any request. My room was spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable, with a stunning view that made each morning feel special. The amenities, especially the pool were fantastic and well-maintained. I also enjoyed dining at their restaurant—delicious food and a great ambiance. Overall, I had a memorable experience and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, top-notch getaway!

FAQs about hotels in Vancouver

Outstanding Capital of the Outdoors

Vancouver is an outdoorsy city ranking among the world’s most livable, sheltered by Vancouver Island and the Pacific Range mountains. The most famous peak, Grouse Mountain, is a favorite spot for hiking and skiing. Take the cable car up for magnificent views of the city's skyscrapers and huge Stanley Park.

Skirting this park is the Seawall, a popular biking trail with paths passing the Vancouver Aquarium, picnic spots and a pitch and putt course. There are also a couple of beaches, but the best ones are along English Bay in Kitsilano.

Granville Island is just across False Creek from Yaletown and houses some quirky shops and markets. Ferries depart from here to near BC Place Stadium and home field of the city’s football and soccer teams. The legendary Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team play next door at Rogers Arena.

With the largest Chinatown in North America, Gastown is the oldest part of Vancouver and is near the Canada Place cruise ship terminal.

We could go on and on about British Columbia's biggest city, but we could never do it justice, so why not try it for yourself? Booking.com has a fabulous range of accommodations, from hotels near Vancouver Airport in Richmond to downtown B&Bs and motels near all of its ferry ports.

I enjoyed the warm and sunny weather, which made for great photography. City management needs to keep the city cleaner; alleys had accumulated garbage. There were an abundance of attractive Asian women and pizza parlors. The skyline near the waterfront has impressive modern office buildings.

Location...location...location!

Location...location...location! Vancouver is so beautiful and there's so much to see! I attended a conference and stayed on UBC campus via Pacific Spirit Hostel. I so enjoyed the Museum of Anthropology! I enjoyed some great restaurants that include: MOC Vietnamese Kitchen, Brown Restaurant, Kyros, Hungry Zus, and the Loafe Cafe. Buses are a great way to get around and be sure to visit Granville Island!

We went to Stanley Park our first day there just to see what it was and check out the bike rentals for our planned Sunday E-bike ride. We ended up walking a little in the park and fell upon the Aquarium. What a find! Beautiful and really nice. I loved the rain forest section, we got to see a lot of cool stuff and hadn't even planned on doing it. Well worth the money and time spent. We E-biked around Stanley Park via the sea wall. It was fun, but very crowded with a lot of people who really shouldn't get on a bike, lol. We made it and it was a beautiful ride. Ferried over to Victoria and ate at "The Keg," their salmon was to die for...we had a great time.

If you walk around with eyes and ears open you'll find so many things happening in this city. There's always a concert, another nice park or a open salsa dance event somewhere (those are almost everyday for example on Robson square or Kitsilano beach).

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and always greeted us as we passed through the lobby. The hotel is centrally located in Downtown Vancouver and its easy to walk to nearby bus stops and train stations or just to nearby businesses and sights. The hotel also provided discounts for nearby businesses, including an adjacent italian restaurant and a cocktail bar.
