Enjoyed the smaller restaurant in the harbor where we had high tea and visiting the Parliament House with my son was a highlight! I was surprised with the amount of public drug-use in downtown where our hotel was located but otherwise it was a very walkable city that didn't require a car. I highly recommend the Victoria Clipper and is worth the fare if you are traveling from Seattle. We drove and took the ferry from Tswassen and then drove 40 min from Sydney which made for a very long drive.

the best thing was the whale watching cruise with Eagle Wing Tours. Not to be missed! Everything else was also interesting and beautiful including the entire harbor. Getting around was pretty easy but we were withing walking distance from our hotel to the Royal Canadian Museum, the Capitol buildings, the harbor and our whale trip. The area around our hotel had good, small restaurants. The fish places on the harbor are fantastic and to be recommended.

If you love rooms with flash back colors and style this place is the place. The funny thing was in grandma's basement with the pool table I spent time showing kids how to use a rotary phone that they had 😅

This hostel was the cheapest option which I found for our last minute trip to Victoria. For such a price I didnt expect much, but have to say that for 1night it was ideal. Very close to downtown, walkable to beach and Beacon park. It is maybe 1-2min from the bus station from a ferry terminal. I didnt expect much from breakfast and the dinner but the pasta dinner was pretty cool and breakfast was nice too. The only negative thing was the hair on a bedlinen, other than that the room was clean and also the shared washroom.
The room has been updated. Unlike a lot of hotels there are plenty of places to put your stuff unlike other places. There is a microwave, fridge and lavazza coffee maker. Perfect. The bed is very comfortable. The location is downtown and within walking distance of many places. The staff at the hotel are excellent t. They do go above and beyond and certainly have that personal touch.
The Rialto is our go to place in Victoria.
The ambience, the excellent staff, the high-quality service in every area of the hotel, the swimming pool, the huge bedroom with great bathroom facilities, the location central downtown
The Strathcona Hotel is the best value for money of the downtown Victoria hotels. The rooms are clean and functional and the location puts you in the heart of the "action".
