A good place to base ourselves for a short stay. We walked along Wanderweg paths following the river into Interlaken. A very pleasant walk 👍 Would be a good base for exploring the Brienz Interlaken Grindelwald area by motorcycle, or car, or local buses and trains.

It was so clean and feels like home.
It was so clean and feels like home. We cooked dinner and breakfast with ease. Complete with coffee pods and basic condiments. Recommended for you next travel. We really enjoyed our stay. We went winter and bus run every hour. No problem for us as we only need to take that bus once. You can opt to wlk for 22 mins to interlaken ost. The bathroom has no lock again no problem for us as we are family. We just knock before entering. Maybe the only problem we had was throwing rubbish away. Quite confusing where to put it

I went trekking between Iseltwald and Giessbach.
I went trekking between Iseltwald and Giessbach. It was 1.5 hours long but can be completed within 1 hour. Good exercise. I had lunch at the bottom of the Giessbach waterfalls and it was great. It's not suitable for a picnic basket, but a small lunch and drink would be perfect. Do pick up your trash and take them with you when you leave. If you can't, please don't eat there. It was good to take the bus, hike and then the ferry back to Bonigen. Do try multiple transportations.EllenNetherlands - 10Scored 10

Right on the lake for the views and a summertime dip after a long day. A bit of a trek into Interlaken but far enough away so as not to get too busy with tourists. Boenigen is the quiet neighbour of Interlaken & all the better for it. Excellent centre for travelling the local area or just about anywhere in Switzerland. Had a day on the Glacier Express from Brig to Chur! A definite must on any holiday.

The hotel was off season I believe but had a lovely dinner at request. I had to leave early to catch my train and the owner organized a lunch bag for my long train trip. I would highly recommend and definitely will stay here again. I had a room with a view of the lake and the mountains. Was so amazing to wake up to this very morning. The public bus was easy and convenient right infront of the hotel to and from Interlaken Ost. Everything was perfect.NNeckeishaJamaica

It was a brilliant base for anything and everything you wanted to do around the region. The free bus was just outside the hotel, which meant linking up with all transport easy. The rooms were so comfortable. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. They upgraded us as a surprise for our anniversary and left lovely chocolates in the room for us on arrival. The view from our balcony (room 206) will stay with us forever. We are DEFINITELY coming back!!EmmaIreland

The fantastic view of lake was so great .the hotel is avarage with very classic beds and furniture but very accepted for the coast. Christine was very helpful with all our queries. apartment is not very new but still very very comfortable. loved the shower. would surely recommend
