Historical property run by same family for over 400 years. The interior is mostly original yet looks brand new, so well has it been maintained. 5 different saunas. Excellent food. Friendly, helpful owner and staff that speak perfect English. Spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, medieval interior with wood paneling everywhere including ceilings. Lots of antique furnishings, fittings and decor round out this standout inn.

A Warm and Modern Swiss Retreat Staying at this property was an absolute delight. It strikes a perfect balance between warmth and modernity—cozy yet stylish, charming yet contemporary. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional. The room itself had thoughtful touches that added to the experience, including a record player, which made for a nostalgic and relaxing evening. The design blends modern surfaces with an inviting atmosphere, making it feel like a home away from home. The restaurant was another highlight. With a chef whose creations are truly Michelin-quality, every meal was a masterpiece. Even when I woke up late and had missed the designated breakfast hours, the staff graciously prepared a meal for me, a gesture that speaks volumes about their hospitality. The location is in a charming, modern Swiss village, offering the best of both worlds—scenic beauty and contemporary convenience. Outside, a beautiful courtyard adds to the ambiance, providing a perfect spot to unwind. But what truly sets this place apart is the warmth of the people. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made my stay unforgettable. If you’re looking for a place that combines Swiss charm with modern comfort, this is it.

This place exceeded all our expectations. It is in a nice small town but cities are close to reach. Hiking is at your footsteps. If you wish you can reach the lake with a funicular or by driving 10-15 min. The top of the mountain (Chasseral) is reached in 20 Min slow drive to enjoy the views. Breakfast was super fresh and good enough for a great start into the day. Dinner is top notch and as well the presentation. Complement to the chef!

Secluded in the top of Engelberg in the last street, Villa Hundert’s location is very romantic. When you enter the building, you immediately feel the owners’ touch and soul in everything what’s inside. What Christian and John built here is truly outstanding. It is a full experience and journey, starting with the accessories in the room, the common living room upstairs, and then the main attraction: food and wine. We had quite a few gastronomic experiences with my wife so far, but John’s cuisine paired with Christian’s wine sortiment topped everything we ever experienced. The ski bus has a stop right under Villa Hundert, so transportation to the Titlis cablecar is easy. Highly recommended for everyone, who’s looking for a unique and special experience, paired with skiing or snowboarding. This is the perfect choice for a romantic weekend. We will definitely come back!

It was like home, bed was comfortable and the room that we stayed in ‘chalet hiver’ was a good size. The breakfast was perfect with fresh fruit juice, home made jam, nice bread and a good coffee. The view from the breakfast room is incredible. Will surely stay here everytime we visit Ovronnaz.

Family run but amazing culinary skills and a varied and interesting selection of local wines, gins, and brandy's. If you are in the area the tasting is WOW and it's very comfortable to stay the evening so it can be enjoyed.

We got an update for a better room, the room was clean and spacious , staff were very welcoming and helpful, we had a great stay.

The attention to detail in this hotel is out of this world! One of the best hotels that we have ever stayed at!

Everything, the hotel, the rooms, the bar, the gym, the pool & spa... but specially the staff, over the top hotel with over the top service... thx hope to be back very soon!!!
