Set in a former brewery from the 18th century, this hotel is only a 15-minute walk away from the Old Town of Neuchâtel.

Stayed here on numerous occasions and I simply love this small boutique hotel. Staff is super friendly, I love the deco and location. Breakfast is just perfect. I will be back again :)
The Hotel Palafitte offers you individual luxury pavilions with breathtaking views of Lake Neuchâtel and the Alps, half of which are built on piles directly in the lake.

We stayed during a heat wave and consequently have a lake ensuite was fantastic. The rooms on the lake had screen door (in addition to the normal glass ones) so you could hear the lake wild life (birds etc) waking up in the morning. The views across the lake to the high peaks of the alps are fantastic.
Hôtel des Arts is conveniently located just 656 feet from the lake, near the center of Neuchâtel and the funicular railway which will take you to the train station in 3 minutes. Rooms have free Wi-Fi....

Simple BnB dead central in Neuchatel. Cold hardly be more central.
Surprisingly the cafe underneath was closed the Sunday I arrived, but they emailed a code so it was OK.
The Aux Chambres du Banneret is located in a protected 16th-century building, set in the pedestrian zone in the heart of Neuchâtel, a few minutes' walk from the lake and from many restaurants, bars...

The waterfront was lovely as were the flowers and garden areas. A wonderful restaurant on the water was our best meal. The market on the weekend was the most civilized, organized and pleasant of any other European market. The produce was amazing. We walked everywhere We did not have time to see anything other than the city centre but it is a lovely safe city to visit.

When we stayed (Jan 2025) we received the Neuchâtel Tourist Card from our accommodation which gave free access to museums and public transport. A great positive surprise. We realised there is so much to see and visit in and around Neuchâtel. Will definitely have to come back. We liked the nice atmosphere in the down, the good brasseries, the many high level museums.

It was an Amarcord thing for me, to re-visit the place where I used to live as a student in my twenties.
Lots of changes, I liked the old Swiss style.
Charming restaurants, plenty of café.
Very good but extremely expensive train system, buy your tickets well in advance.

The lakeside walk is beautiful, with Alps on the far side.
The lakeside walk is beautiful, with Alps on the far side. The architecture of the old Town is beautiful. There are grocery stores, pharmacies, gift shops, dress shops, cheese shops, chocolate shops, cafés and restaurants within very easy walking distance everywhere between the lake and the famous Collegiale where Reformer William Farrell once preached. The central Marché is an especially picturesque spot for a coffee or a meal at one of its many cafés. There is a funicular to Chaumont and its charming Petite Hotel which serves excellent food. Next to it is a zip line fun park for kids and playground for littles.
The Neuchâtel museum is worth a visit. 2 lakeside restaurants with outside eating are great: Beau Rivage and Waves. Boats to other towns around the 3 lakes are fun and easy to book.

Breathtaking view!
I stayed in Annex. The room was comfortable and had all the required stuff to make the stay comfortable. The view from the room was breathtakingly beautiful. One can see the mountains, the lake, and the houses below. It was picture-perfect. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The location is great with easy access to train and bus from the hotel.
Very professional and courteous staff. Rooms are modern and comfortable. The hotel is strategically located at the foot of Lake Neuchatel with stunning views. There is a beautiful rooftop bar and gym facilities. walking distance to town centre and shopping. I will certainly return to this hotel when I am next in Neuchatel
Lovely clean hotel, great position near centre of town. Very safe and secure. A good place to sleep if you're out and about during the day. Air conditioning would be a great extra but we survived!
The studio appt is spacious, nicely furnished, well located clise to the city center, the port snd bus lines. A good place for a visit to Neuchatel. Very helpful owner, easy check in and out.
