The location is fabulous, including a nice spa and lots of common areas, including a pool room and indoor (as well as outdoor) pool for rainy days. But most surprising for an hotel of this size is the quality of the food. After our first night, we did not bother to go out and drive after darkness and had our four dinners there, to our outmost pleasure (and many thanks to the Chef!). Also worth noting is the kindness and efficiency of the staff allover, with gold medal to the smiley and very efficient Josephine at the reception. We stayed 4 days and wish we would have stayed more, well informed for activities by the dedicated and enthusiast guides at the tourist desk in the lobby. Congratulations to all the team and beautiful Chili (offering fabulous sceneries) that deserves much more international tourists. Pucon is definitively the place to go for outdoor activities.

The location was beautiful! We had an amazing view of Lago Villarrica from our apartment! Breakfast was brought to us every day and it was very generous! The staff was extremely friendly and responsive - everything was perfect and we had a lovely stay - great value, too! The whole property is well kept inside and out. Very clean and comfortable !

If you are a nature & food lover, then come to Pucón!

If you are a nature & food lover, then come to Pucón! It is a lively bustling little town located on the shores of the lovely Lake Villarrica with amazing views of a snowcapped Villarrica Volcano. (fair warning: evening traffic is crazy in the summer. Book a hotel in town and go by foot) It's hard to find bad food in this town, and it is served to you by very nice people. The Chilean people are very welcoming. Make sure to visit Ojos del Caburgua, three beautiful waterfalls that flow into the stunning blue and green pools. Salto El León, about 30 km from Pucón, is a must! It combines hot pools with a massive waterfall surrounded by lush green jungle. Reservations required.

Pucon is a town similar to other mountain town bases.

Pucon is a town similar to other mountain town bases. Filled with shops, hotels, outfitters and restaurants. Nothing authentic. Good access to Parque Huerquehue and the volcano. We had one lunch at Senzo which was outstanding. I do not recommend visiting Pucon in February. It is TOO crowded. The road in and out of town is one big traffic jam both in the morning and in the evening. If you have to pass through on the way to hiking in the area parks, get out before 8AM.

Pucon is great, I spend ~6 months there last year.

Pucon is great, I spend ~6 months there last year. Food is not consistently great but Trawen never disappoints. Try your sopaipilla with queso and merken! Walk a bit out of the center to a frutería and load up on berries and other great produce in the summer. Souvenirs/artesanía are better outside of town (and further south). If you find something cool, just buy it, you might not find it again :)

The city center is very beautiful, it is very safe and we can connect with nature without walking for so long, it is very easy to buy souvenirs and eat in the best places, homemade food made by traditional families, Ubers are very cheap and we can learn a lot of culture, without a doubt a fascinating place.

Pucon is an excellent place to plan a short visit to.

Pucon is an excellent place to plan a short visit to. Driving off Rte 5 (the main spine road of Chile) we nearly stopped at Villarica but were very pleased that we had pressed on to see what Pucon was like. Both are great towns but we are glad we stayed in Pucon. The beach on the lake was lovely and there are lots of lively restaurants and bars in the small town.

Such a lovely town with a bustling centre with plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops. A short walk took us to the beautiful, although busy, beach by the lake. On the other side of the peninsula was the marina and the opportunity to hire a yacht. Ever present was the amazing backdrop of the volcano, occasionally giving off a puff of smoke. Our trip was in summer, and clearly winter is equally attractive for snow sports.

I loved my cabin in Ketrawe Lodge. Located in a wooded area above Pucón, away from the busyness of the town, and, yet, it’s less than 10mins walk away via the short cut shown me by the owners. This brought me through the cemetery which has excellent views of the town. The accommodation is well maintained, private, has everything needed for a stay and is clean. I highly recommend.

It was so cozy that it was hard to believe that it was time to pack the suitcase. A very spacious home, nicely furnitured, all amenities that you can wish for and a very comfortable bed. The location is ideal. Away from the traffic, hidden in the green foliage, and yet so close to Pucon. Lovely hosts.
