Yang & family are fantastic hosts. They responded to our queries promptly and did their best to make our stay a very pleasant one. Yang drove us from Beijing to Huanghuacheng ( Lakeside Great Wall or Water Great Wall ) before we arrived at the accommodation. He was knowledgeable, patient and considerate.
Lily is cordial and hospitable. Both of them took turns cooking for us. Because the accommodation is only about 15 mins walk away from the Mutianyu Great Wall, we could break up our walk into 2 sessions. We could return to enjoy a home cooked lunch ( there's limited food up at the Wall) and took a respite from the afternoon heat & crowds.
Yang took us to the Ming 13 Tombs en route to Beijing.
The room is comfortable providing cool air-conditioning in the afternoon and warmth in the night. Food is delicious. Lily took pains to serve us tropical fruits for breakfast after finding out that we are from the equator.
Upon discovering that I needed some items, Lily helped with the purchases online and had them delivered to my next destination!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Let’ago Hotel & Bar. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

The place was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect to spend the night near to the great wall.
The owners were very kind all the time and very flexible, although they do not t speak english they use translator and are very comunicative at all times.
We asked for the transfer from the airport to the accommodation and from there to Beijing city centre.
They help us to get to the great wall.
They also have a restaurant in the building were you can have breakfast/lunch or dinner, we enjoy the food a lot.

It was a great pleasure to enjoy the hospitality of Beijing Huanghuacheng Water Great Wall Derunju Guesthouse again. The season is perfect for cycling, it is not yet hot and the greenery is fresh. As many other reviews have pointed out, this homestay is run by a family. It is advantageous if you can speak mandarin but the hosts are able to speak simple English to make your stay comfortable.
The best part about this homestay are the hosts. Mr Yang, the business owner, is passionate about making sure his guests have an enjoyable time during their stay, and is proactive in suggesting itineraries and sharing weather forecasts or tourist information regarding your stay. For eg, Mr Yang was aware that I was keen on a side trip to si ma tai but was unwilling to proceed because of the high price quoted - he was very willing to negotiate to my preferred, competitive pricing, and even helped to organize other guests on the same trip so that the cost can be further lowered.
This, to me, is effective customer service and business.
The room is sufficient - toiletries are free, there was a small sitting area in my room with TV, wifi, aircon cum heater, water and kettle, etc. I was upgraded to the best room available as I was the only guest for most parts of that day.
Breakfast and dinner were provided with my stay and they served Chinese fare to me. However, the menu is negotiable or you could voice your preference to the host to better suit your tastebuds - for me, I feedback that the food was too salty and they made immediate changes to the next meal.
There are (really cute!) cats on the property.

If you're looking for a home away from home, this is the place for you. My family and I enjoyed our stay here, it was comfortable and peaceful. Our host and her family were kind and warm. The daily breakfasts were amazing, dinner on one occasion was excellent too. Great location it's near the water, a hiking spot, some cool restaurants and only 15 min drive to Mutianyu Great wall.

My friends and I stayed 2 nights in relax homestay. The rooms were very clean and well designed. The personel was very attentive and kind.
They have been super patient since we speak very little chinese, find us good places to eat and offered to guide us to a sunset hidden spot.
They even let us shower after our great walk hike before we take our night train
