Everything is excellent with a extremely good price. The room likes a studio apartment with sofa, kitchen, fridge, washing machine,.... The location is also great, near to A2 entrance/exit of May Fourth station, next to a super mall. And the host is so friendly. If you visit Qingdao, I reallyx100 times recommend you to stay here.

I stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel near 5-4 Square in Qingdao, and I was truly impressed by the exceptional service. It wasn’t just one or two staff members who stood out, but rather every team member was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. They quickly and efficiently handled all our requests, creating a very warm and comfortable experience. I’ve stayed at many 5-star hotels, but this is the first time I’ve felt compelled to write a letter of appreciation. My sincere thanks to the hotel management and staff for their outstanding service.

Location could not have been better. 10mins walk from the railway station, just at the seaside. Hotel, in terms of architecture, looks like it was taken straight from Greece. Room were comfy, bathroom was little on the smaller side but not crampy

A very happy feeling place, with much space for exercise (as shown by the many joggers), efficient and clean public transport, long walks along the coastal path and within the beautiful parks, and fragrant jasmine growing everywhere. The Tsingtao beer museum was enjoyable and interesting to visit (an early morning start is recommended to avoid the queues). Seafood was of course plentiful and delicious.

Fantastic stay at regency Hyatt hotel, great location Great food and very pleasant and professional staff. Bedroom great size with very comfy bed Erich is great having a good night sleep after a long journey. Well worth the money

This is a very pleasant city. Easy to walk and see sights.

This is a very pleasant city. Easy to walk and see sights. The seaside is beautiful. There is always a small breeze which makes the hot weather much more bearable. Seafood is great. The Beer Museum and the Former German Governor's House are very interesting and worth to see!

A beautiful city... the people are very friendly& colourful 😊 Taking the metro was a breeze but perhaps we need escalators for the elderly who may not be so agile & mobile like those younger/fitter commuters. Nevertheless it's awesome to be in such a bustling place 🎉

If you are a first time traveler to Qingdao, bear in mind...

If you are a first time traveler to Qingdao, bear in mind that Qingdao has spent the last decade upgrading its transportation system, and in doing so, make it a lot easier to get around the city. For example, if you fly into their new airport, Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, once you gather your bags, you have a choice of using the city's rail service (Line 8) to get you to downtown Qingdao. It connects with Line 3 (Licun Park), and Line 3 connects with other lines, so rather than pay crazy money to get to downtown, you could pay as little as $1 just to travel to anywhere in Qingdao. The signs are in English, and they have staff on hand who speak some English as well. Great airport!

A wonderful city where people seem friendlier and less in a rush. We loved the European style in the German quarter and the view form the Signal Hill park. I would recommend having a little coffee there in the cafe up top. Very interesting to see second beach and then enjoy the cable car over the city from Zhongshan Park.

The hotel is within easy walking distance from the downtown high-speed train station. Note: Qingdao has several train stations. The seaside location gives it a touch of Chinese holiday flair. We had a nice room with a sea view. The rooms are a bit dated but still okay and clean. To communicate with the staff, you'll need to rely on a translation app. From the hotel, it's easy to explore the old town with its historic German-influenced architecture.

Rooms are veeery specious. Very close to exhibiton venue, which was convenient as we were there specifically for China Fishries show. As usual i think laguage was a bit of a barrier but it goes both ways. I think as we are guests we should at least make and effort to learn a few phrases in advance. Good breakfast, fully satisfied in general.

Our suite was spacious and clean other then the filthy air-vents. The general manager Mr Wang on the floor during our last few days saved our experience, he was very helpful and his English was perfect. Google Translate is problematic and slow in China even with a VPN installed.
