Pretty much what it says on the tin. I used the hotel for a stop gap whilst on a 18hour transit. So I only needed the shower, bed and breakfast and for this purpose, it was fantastic. It ticked all the boxes and I couldn't complain.
The shuttle bus directions were spot on. Thw breakfast was great. The location was great. The shower fast, powerful and easy to use, and the bed was comfortable.
Great value for money and everything you need for a transit hotel.

A beacon of 21st-century China, Shanghai is modernising at an electrifying rate. Nowhere is this more evident than the skyscraper-punctuated Pudong commercial district. The most distinct - the Oriental Pearl Tower - has a ball at the top and bottom and offers fabulous city views. A number of towers also twist as they go up – a feat of contemporary engineering.
This side of the city also houses Shanghai Pudong International Airport, while Shanghai Hongqiao Airport is over the Huangpu River in the Puxi district. An area of older and less dominating buildings, Puxi features the elegant Bund area whose varied architecture includes a surprising array of Art Deco.
With a choice of shopping centres and small shops beneath brightly lit neon signs just like Chinatowns across the world, Shanghai shopping is fantastic.
Other must-see Shanghai attractions include the wonderful Shanghai Museum and the Jade Buddha Temple. For a break from the hustle and bustle head to the Yuyuan Gardens, the beach or peaceful Zhujiajiao Water Town in the west.
Whether you choose one of the Shanghai hotels, apartments or hostels, take time to go to a tea house, a Chinese institution. Also worth sampling are Shanghai hairy crab, steamed dumplings and the freshwater fish so popular with locals.

Found it difficult getting around due to most people not speaking English.
Got lost several times at metro station and had not realized we had to change trains, but was happy that there was a voice announcements in English advising of the approaching stations.
The underground market at Science and technology were quite an experience as one had to haggle alot and get better prices.

We had a long layover and so decided to go into Shanghai prior to using an airport hotel.
We grabbed a map from the airport information, who gave us a few ideas of where to go and opted to take the subway and note that to pay for it you do need to download the wechat app and use the payment on there - there is no other payment method available.
We had the most fun time ever as it is so easy to get around - visit the Bund to see the river and skyline (very busy) - visit the tunnels to get over to the other side for a really wacky, fun experience and for a tiny bit extra, the most unexpected VR experience ever.
There were street markets and food and the parks are very pretty.
Also worth catching the Maglev train back to the airport - it's pricey but travelling at 300 km + per hour is worth it.
The whole lot gave us a small insight into Shanghai, lots of fun and lasted for about 4 hours. Then we checked into a hotel near the airport for a well earned sleep

We spent 11 days in Shanghai, which in hindsight might have been a bit too long. If possible, I’d recommend checking out some other cities during your trip as well to add more variety. One place we visited was Yuyuan Garden (Yu Garden), but unfortunately it was a bit of a letdown — I wouldn’t really recommend it.
You’ll hardly need any cash while in Shanghai. It’s a good idea to download Alipay, and WeChat if possible, as they make payments super easy almost everywhere.

Very good location, about 15 minutes drive from international airport. Airport shuttle was organised quickly. Hotel is located in quiet area so we had good sleep during our flights layover. Despite we arrived few hours earlier than check in time we have been given room straight away. Room clean, spacious, beds very comfortable, basic cosmetics and slippers provided. We will definitely choose this hotel next time we visit Shanghai.
In terms of location this is as good as it gets in Shanghai. Metro access under 2 minute walk. Direct access to Nanjing road, short distance to people square and tons of places. The rooms are comfortable although not very big. The breakfast is the best I have had in China and is well worth that of a high-end 5 star hotel. Bath and shower have strong water pressure and instant hot water.
The staff at the hotel were wonderful! Shanghai had a weather event which required us to book an extra night with several flights cancelled. At first there was no availability. However, the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate us with a great result including a later checkout. Lovely clean hotel, very spacious and a great airport transfer service!
Our room was modern, quiet and very comfortable. The hotel staff was prompt and helpful and the facilities were easy to make use. The location in the French Concession is also great, a very walkable part of Shanghai with beautiful architecture all around. Breakfast was a little bit pricey but had many options and was overall very tasty.
Mia hotel is a great place to stay in Shanghai. The staff were so friendly and attentive, especially Danni on the front desk. Rooms were very clean and modern. Location in the French concession was so close to everything.
