United States5 stars. It is a massive colonial property, with a lot of historic details in its walls, ceilings and furniture that take you back to the cartagena of royal times. Location was perfect, in Getsemani, walking distance to everything, but without the noise that comes with the neighborhood. We got an upgrade to a Suite with a large living room and a private balcony facing the old city walls, which made our stay extra special. Breakfast is plenty and with good variety. There is a main pool in the inner courtyard and a few jacuzzis in the rooftop, which we used to relax in the evenings. Angie and the team were super friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay perfect.

CanadaA gorgeous place to stay! The hotel has just six rooms and a lot of lovely common spaces, so it felt like home. The staff were very helpful and attentive, they were a pleasure to chat to. The room was very spacious, comfortable, a great space for a rest day in the midst of a busy vacation. The art everywhere is gorgeous, and the pool was fun for an afternoon dip.

Such a lively city with lot's of music, great restaurants and beautiful historical architecture. It is more expensive than other Colombian destinations which was quite surprising as prices resembled that of Europe.

Liked Getsemani for the art. Walled city and beautiful boutiques for most exquisite linens and most beautiful architectural restaurants.
Restaurants : Al Alma, Nia, Morena Origines (ambiance only), Urania roof top all nice to eat..
Easy to travel by uber and affordable. Also easy to walk around all parts of city.

Mr. Morales is a wonderful, very pleasant person. The place is good, but it is missing a few things, such as a washing machine and shower curtains. It was very hot in the mornings and afternoons, but overall, we had a great time.

Cartagena is no different than visiting any big city around...
Cartagena is no different than visiting any big city around the world. As long as you stay in the tourist areas, keep ahold of your phone and purse, and be aware of your surroundings, you are fine. We liked Cartagena so much that we decided to retire here. The prices are a lot cheaper than anywhere in the US that is near a beach and the temperature is warm year round. You can get straight flights into certain airports in the US.

Pros: Cartagena’s colonial center is beautiful, the sunsets are spectacular, and the evenings are warm and breezy. Uber is inexpensive, the people are very friendly, and the Rosario Islands are close enough for an easy day trip. Spend your days enjoying the beach or exploring the Rosario Islands, and your evenings strolling through Cartagena’s beautiful colonial center.
Cons: Restaurants can be quite expensive, and there are many street performers and vendors constantly trying to sell you something. Restaurants tend to over charge for water (order soda instead of getting served S.Pellegrino by default.)

Wonderful city, always ready to be redicovered! It has history, flavour, and a magic charm that does not disappoint. It is important, however, for travellers to plan well/ carefully and be mindful of the fact it is not cheap and one can so easily be overcharged. I would advise visitors to go on a walking tour and enrol in a cooking class, that way they can actually learn more about the city and explore beyond the glitz.

Beautiful hotel with a spacious and comfortable room. There were some issues with the shower – great water pressure, but sometimes there was a leak and the overhead shower didn’t always work. The staff was very friendly, and the location is perfect, right by the entrance to the Old City. We really loved this place, and the view from the window was great!

The staff was really nice, they kept our bags as we arrived earlier, and the check in was very smooth. The second room that we stayed in was comfortable. The property is close to supermarkets, stores, pharmacies, etc. It is very easy to walk around the old city and this hotel is located in one of the main streets.

We stayed at the hotel during a festival to avoid the noise from around our home. We heard a little bit of music and people talking but it got very quiet at a reasonable hour. We really enjoyed breakfast. It was almost too much to eat.
