ColombiaSuper friendly receptionist, I felt welcomed and helped out. My room was squeaky clean although the facilities weren't the newest, but I didn't feel any inconveniences.
It was surprisingly quiet at night taken into account that the hotel is located basically in the city center.

Unfortunately, they don't accept cash in dollars, only Colombian pesos, but due to its excellent location there are exchange houses nearby. Excellent service, clean rooms, great location, ideal for travelers from all over the world who travel back and forth through Colombia and Venezuela, and vice versa, for whom stays are usually short....

Each day I was walking from one place to another from one supermarket to another and I felt pretty much save - did that at the afternoons only as they saying at night is not save (I cannot confirm this). At nights I've used taxis. Pubs and bars are very good, people really friendly, good price everywhere. I'm 6'6 tall take it into account. In my opinion is safer than general people's opinion. Going back there 100% .

It is a long story, but I went with my family to Cucuta to spent like 3 to 4 days and cross the border to Venezuela, where I planned to stay for the holidays. But I got some troubles at the border with the Venezuelan authority (Corruption) and I decided to stay in Cucuta (alone). So I stayed in Cucuta for like two weeks. I didn't know much to do. I went to the Malls, to the Malecon and went a day to Pamplona. So I don't know if it's me or that Cucuta is a little boring. Maybe it is just me.
Pamplona was the highlight of my stay in Cucuta, although it is not Cucuta.
Also, the people of Cucuta is less friendly then the people of Medllin for example. But, again, maybe it's just me.
At the end of the day I always enjoy my travels. I like to explore the world so all and all it wak ok.

Cucuta is a very friendly town, the people are friendly and willing to help in any way they can. The Ventura Plaza is very entertaining and the facilities are conducive for you to spend an entire day there, a lot to do for the little ones.

Cucuta is a transit city, for travellers, this Hotel is near airport, clean and safe, bbrreakfaast included. Good value for your money especially on transit to other cities in Colombia or abroad. Highly recommend for that purpose.

Really helpful staff even though they do not speak English. But they are helping me by using translator. And I feel really safe in the city of Cucuta. The city is vibrant and in the central, there is an area with many nice restaurants and bars.
