My wife and I recently had the opportunity to visit Medellín, Colombia, and overall, we had a wonderful experience. I would rate our trip 8.5/10.
Medellín is a beautiful and lively city with plenty to offer. We enjoyed the restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and the overall atmosphere. There are many great places to eat, beautiful malls to visit, and plenty of entertainment for couples.
One thing I really appreciated was the convenience of getting around the city using Uber. We were able to explore different areas and enjoy many of the attractions. The people we encountered were also generally friendly and welcoming.
Of course, like any large city, visitors should always be aware of their surroundings, especially at night and when visiting unfamiliar areas. The traffic can also be heavy at certain times, and the rain sometimes affected outdoor plans.
Overall, Medellín was a great destination for my wife and me. It is a city with beautiful scenery, great food, shopping, entertainment, and plenty of activities for couples.

I was there for only 2 days, but had a chance to go...
I was there for only 2 days, but had a chance to go paragliding and see Comuna 13...both are highly recommended, sort of must do things no matter how long your stay. Poblado is an excellent neighborhood for first timers and singles since it is safe to walk even at night whether your are alone or in a group. PS - my prayers are with everyone in Colombia who were and continue to be impacted by the recent earthquake.

If I didn't have other reasons for visiting Medellin, it would not be on my list of preferred destinations. I honestly don't get why it is so popular. I love the people, and wish them well, but the cuisine is second rate, and the city layout and architecture are well below even Albania. It is a disappointing and noisy city to me...

Medellin is a beautiful city with accommodating locals. We loved that there were ample night life spots to enjoy our evenings, after exploring the city tours and eateries in the daytime. We travelled mostly by Uber, and other times the city taxi. The rates are quite affordable.
We did the Comuna 13 tour, visited La Tesoro shopping mall & Provenza. We had planned on Guatape but due to it being 2 hours outside of the city, the plans didn't come together.

This was my second time here; my second visit here was...
This was my second time here; my second visit here was different. I took my time and looked around the area I was staying in and said to myself that I could retire here. I love the culture; I need to learn more Spanish; that's a plus but you can figure it out. It also easy to get around with Uber the drivers here are awesome, everyone that drives around are on the same page period. I haven't broken the ice on all the tourist places yet because there are so many, I'm just taking in a little bit with each visit at a time. I'm planning my next vacation to Medellin, in the very near future so see you soon.

This hotel in a "real" neighbourhood in Medellin, was comfortable, clean and friendly. The bed and sheets were top quality. The room was small, but had room to store our clothes and suitcases. The staff were excellent, and like so many others we have met in Colombia, very friendly. The neighbourhood is full of families going about their lives, with great fruit stands and grocery stores nearby. We walked everywhere, even back to Poblado to sample a restaurant we had missed the previous visit. An interesting neighbourhood.

The service was great, staff very helpful, the room huge and comfortable, the bar service to the room a super great surprise and the breakfast the best we had in Colombia. Many thanks to the concierge from Venezuela (can’t remember his name!) so helpful and kind! This hotel should be rated a 10, it’s one of the mos silent in Poblado!

This is a cute hotel in a part of Medellín that is not so full of foreigners as some other areas. Saying that, it is also much closer to the most important sights in the city center than hotels in El Poblado. What we liked most, though, was the staff, who were very attentive and helpful.

The rooms were very pretty. El poblado is a party district and we did research this before booking. However most reviews for this hotel did not mention the noise. If you are staying in Medellin to party and want to sleep from 5am-11am this hotel is perfect.
