Inside the compound it is very quiet from the road, other side of the road is filled with restaurants, souvenir shops and supermarkets, but rather small in total, the harbor. Best supermarket in Polis, ~4km.
Great place with garage, private place, best location for trips into the Akamas.

Polis is a fantastic place to stay as it is still a nice place comparing sea and mountain . People are nice and there are nice tavernas where you can find home made food in logical prices. Municipality authorities have to spend money for making the small town more attractive and a memorable place which you can revisit in the near future. I will visit the place again but I will search to find a better hotel to stay.

It is very easy to get around, it has a lot of nice restaurants and cafes, even a bicycle rental shop. Latchi port is very close, you can walk there and it's such a nice area with restaurants. You can rent boats to go to the Blue Lagoon which is just superb. A very nice thing about this area is that it is not crowded at all, there are tourists but you don't feel overwhelmed.

Polis is a busy little town with lots of character.
Polis is a busy little town with lots of character. Plenty of bars and restaurants serving traditional and main stream dishes. Everywhere seemed reasonably priced and the food and drink was very good. Finikas was our favourite place to eat as a couple, try the hanging kebab or kleftiko. Le Terrace was great for a burgers and beers and Moustakalis Tavern was perfect spot for family dining.

As this is our first visit to Polis, we found everything breathtaking, the island, the mountain views, the clear water, the sunshine, food, everything. The roads take some getting used to as you're driving through mountains (ups and downs - some narrow roads) but this added to the adventure. We visited the capital Nicosia - which is a stark contrast from Polis, this is not a bad observation but it did take us by surprise - we wish we had more time to explore. The experience was worth it

Away from everything, beach, port, shops etc. The view from my room was a construction site with sand. Plug adapter 3 euros, air conditioner in the bedroom does not cool, the other one was not used, but I think it was written that it was paid extra. If you are going to Cyprus for the first time and have to walk to the Tomb of the Kings or to the old city, passing along a road with no view, only empty places, you can only be disappointed.
The owner was very nice. He greeted us with a fruit basket and full fridge and he brought several times fresh fruits from his own garde. He cleaned the pool and he helped us to find a rental car. It was our third time in Cyprus and from the point of hospitality it was the best experience.
I recently stayed at Hotel Odysseas and Eleni in Polis Chrysochous for a business trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the pool was excellent. The hotel is also in a very good location, making it convenient for my needs.
