The staff were super friendly and spoke excellent English. The spa was included (with robes and slippers) and was a great way to relax after the Christmas markets. The restaurant was casual but the food was as good as it gets. I had the best roast duck I have ever had. The location is less that a block away from three major tram lines. Large room with separate bath and showers. Really top notch and quite a bargain.

We were looking for a place to rest on our trip back to home. We got more than just a rest. Absolutely unique experience of being in the middle of a moto race track. After the breakfast and checkout we had so much fun watching the motocyclists train for the race. Overnight stay turned out to be incredibly. Thank you guys for this unexpected experience! Also, room is extremely comfortable and it has huge window looking at the track, so you can watch the race from your room.

Excellent hotel!!! really excellent! staff is veeeeeery much helpful and responsive! room was very comfortable - I slept like a baby which is really rare for me in hotels. Location is wonderful. I'm travelling with a dog, so, park 5 min (even less) walk distance was/is must have for me. Breakfast in the room option - I love love love it. Again, when you're travelling with a dog - this is very much helpful.

The Historic Heart of Moravia

The 2nd largest Czech city, Brno is a centre of Moravian culture, surrounded by lush countryside. The twin spires of the hilltop Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul dominate the neighbouring Bishops Palace, while the nearby square houses the Moravia Museum and Reduta Theatre, both the oldest in the country.

Beneath the square is Brno Underground, a maze of medieval tunnels and cellars that once housed wine produced in the surrounding region. There is an annual wine festival here, but the largest event is the Ignis Brunensis fireworks competition by Brno Lake to the north-west, lined by trees that hide Veveří Castle.

A less grand castle - Špilberk - sits on a hill in the city centre. At its feet is Masaryk University, the 2nd largest in the Czech Republic. The city’s Mendel University is named after the genetics founder who was abbot of St Thomas’ Abbey, where a museum commemorates his work.

The nearby Brno Exhibition Centre is of functionalist design, but the most important example of this architectural style is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Villa Tugendhat. On the opposite side of the city is Masaryk Circuit, home of the Czech MotoGP.

Brno is a lovely city and well-worth visiting.

Brno is a lovely city and well-worth visiting. For architecture fans, you can visit Villa Tugendhat (the gardens and downstairs are free) and I would also recommend the water tanks and the various churches around town. Beautiful squares and a nice vibe overall

We are always looking to come back to Brno.

We are always looking to come back to Brno. Love apartments close to central, which is historic and beautiful. Plenty of museums and other landmarks you can spend days over days visiting. Never (yet) had any problem with people, there are those from socially weak minority around the main train station, but that is often the case with all main train stations in other cities. If you want good breakfast you must visit place called PLACZEK.

A nice town, a mixture of medieval, 21st century and and out-of-date soviet style culture. Excellent public transport in which you can pay using your credit card (register both when getting in and out). Some good bike lanes next to the river, but not very well developed in the centre.

I always welcome the opportunity to return to Brno, whether for work or leisure. The city has a wonderfully pleasant downtown area with great restaurants, cafés, and shops, all within easy walking distance. There are plenty of sights to enjoy — from Špilberk Castle to beautiful historic architecture throughout the centre — and the atmosphere is consistently friendly and relaxed. Brno combines charm, convenience, and culture in a way that makes every visit enjoyable. It’s a city I’m always happy to come back to.

Excellent location and clean.

Excellent location and clean. Since this is listed as a two bedroom /bathroom apartment, there is only one shower and no laundry facilities -the kitchen is tiny (more like a cupboard), but the great location makes up for any facilities.

Brno is a very underrated city, there is a lot of history...

Brno is a very underrated city, there is a lot of history there and some beautiful architecture, it is also ideal for a day trip to Vienna. We found the old town very walkable and gave out a good vibe. Some graffiti and trash around the city is not so appealing but does not detract from the what this city has to offer.

EFI SPA is a lovely hotel with brilliant staff, and we had a wonderful time. The spa facilities are great, the room was extremely clean and comfortable, and we slept very well thanks to the peace and quiet, once we had the room at a normal sleeping temperature. Parking in the private car park was good value for the 2 days and gave us peace of mind that we wouldn't have to find an alternative parking space in the hotel's city centre location.

The hotel itself was very nicely furnished and decorated nicely. For the reason why we were in Brno the location was excellent and close to Tram stations for easy access into the city centre. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even letting us have a late check out with no extra fee! A nice variety at breakfast and also the bar downstairs had a good selection of drinks too.

The Grand Hotel exceeded our expectations. We have stayed in various places in Brno over the years, and for comfort and location the Grand Hotel was brilliant. Our room was huge, more like a suite. The breakfast was plentiful with good variety. Whilst we were near transport hub, the noise was minimal. We would certainly stay again.
