FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully, the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale facade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city center after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

It is beautiful city with old houses with nice decoration and architecture. Many pieces of art on the streets. Polite and helpful people. Good food and interesting Cafes. Walking along the river and the bridges as well as visiting the parks is good excersise. There is much to see, for example the astronomical watch, Prague castle, Vysherad area and Charles bridge.

Very-very beautiful city with some nice hills around with great views, a river flowing through it, a historical old town, lots of well-preserved buildings, etc. Expect a lot of people, especially near tourist attractions! I love how the city is not completely flat, makes it much more interesting to explore. Also their public transport mobile app is the easiest one I've ever used, and the multi-day travel passes are really good value!

I hadn't visited Prague for twenty years and although the city was familiar to me certain things are surprisingly better. Regional food is still available but better quality than I remember but there is a whole range of interesting European and international restaurants. Specialist wine bars sell some very good wines and in addition to traditional taverns selling Czech beers there are many craft beer special bars. At the turn of the 19th- 20th Centuries Prague could consider itself the Paris of central Europe. That spirit is returning. The Modern art Gallery in Holešovice shows this with Picasso, Miro, Munch, Chagall, Gaugin and other artists you might not expect to be connected to Prague if you're thinking of Czechia as just an ex-soviet state.

I have come to love Prague, been three times for personal reasons, but I have found that the Czech people are so loverly , I have met some wonderful people who have helped me when I’ve been lost, helped my son which I can’t explain how grateful I am to the Czech people , Prague will always hold a special place for me now , such a beautiful country and so much to see . I learn and discover more each time I go Prague. I mainly go to pankrac , but this time I used the bus and metro which was so easy ! And I found a loverly little cafe in pankrac called the pilot. I would love to go to Aqua island some day !

Prague is a great city—very historic, beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The citizens are respectful and law-abiding, which makes it a pleasant and safe place to visit. There could perhaps be a little more English signage, especially for first-time visitors, but once you get to know the transport system, getting around is very easy. The public transport system is fantastic and efficient. There is quite a lot of walking involved, but that is also a wonderful way to experience the city and see all its beautiful historic sights. Overall, we really enjoyed Prague and would definitely recommend visiting

Beautiful city lots of history, very friendly helpful locals. Felt very safe walking round . Street signage is confusing. If meeting up for tours allow plenty of time as it's easy to get confused with how the streets are numbered.

The hotel was fantastic, the location was amazing so close to the old town square where the best Christmas markets were. My mum can’t walk too far, so was ideal for us! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, the hotel was warm and cosy and the beds so comfortable truly can’t fault the whole experience! They even gave us gifts when we checked out 10/10 from us!

The suite we stayed in was magnificent. Totally blew us away. The views from the living room window and balcony were priceless. The hotel is in the old town square next to the clock. The whole area is alive with activities, restaurants , bars etc etc. The rooftop terrace is a must do but be prepared to wait for a table.
