FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully, the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale facade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city center after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

Prague is a 3 day trip.

Prague is a 3 day trip. Its overwhelmingly commercial/materialist/ touristy. Jewish history is now just holocaust porn. Sales of food and stuff the focus of the city not its history. Franz Kafka museum good but tended towards porn too. Shoutout to Slava Cafe for excellent birthday dinner. Between Prague and Warsaw, i prefer warsaw for the ww2 and after social history and prague for medevil to prewar history. Poland more upto date with technology. Im more likely to come back to visit poland/ moravia than Prague or much more of eastern Germany than Berlin/Liepzig.

Plenty to see and do in this lovely city - a half day at the castle is a must, recommend a concert in one of the churches, watch the astronomical clock as it strikes on the hour. We walked and saw lots but didn't pay to go to any of the many museums/exhibitions.

Prague has a lot to offer.

Prague has a lot to offer. The best thing to do is to book a guided tour on your day of arrival. The guide will give you plenty of idea´s for things to do. And there´s so much to see that even a week is barely enough. You have to be more or less a fan of history, though.

Stunning city with fantastic architecture & history.

Stunning city with fantastic architecture & history. Every building is different. Very clean too with workers always around keeping the place tidy. Felt very safe, even in the busier areas, as there were police walking around the streets. Our favourite breakfast place is Coffee & Waffles - not far from the old town square. Gorgeous food and great prices. Very easy to get around the city, whether it's walking or public transport, the trams were very easy to use. Also lots of "fun" options such as the road train and horse & carriage. So many sites to see from the Astronomical Clock to the Castle and all the hidden ones in between like Vrtba Garden & Park Cihelná. Would definitely recommend a boat trip along the river! We did the Devils Channel Boat which was great as it was small enough to fit in between the buildings on the small canals so we saw much more.

July can be very busy in Prague, we stayed on the other side of the river which was way more quiet and you can either walk or take reasonable priced public transportation into the old town. Excellent and far cheaper restaurants are also located on the other side of the river and less busy

Fabulous Hotel in a great location. 3 minutes walk from Charles Bridge and about 6 minutes walk from Old Town Square. Breakfast was great, with a good choice of food both hot and cold. Staff were very friendly. The view from our room terrace was amazing. We were overlooking the castle and part of Charles Bridge. The only downside for us was the lighting ,as it was quite dim around the mirror. It could do with a couple of spotlights just around the mirror for women to put their make up on. All in all a lovely stay.

This Hotel is located in the nice and calm neighbourhood Holesovice some 4km north of the old town square. To get to the city centre you can take the tram (stop some 300m away) which will only take approx. 15mins. Our room and the Hotel in general was really clean and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was included and very delicious and very varied. Parking was also free, either in the underground car park or opposite the Hotel entrance in the street. So good value for your money.

Hotel reception was very attentive - best service we had in years, if you needed something it was attended to very promptly and confirmed as well. Breakfast was to die for, not the usual continental selection but properly cooked meal and more of a very good quality restaurant food so absolutely worth it. Location is superb - a bit off the center but 5 mins walk to Old Town Square and close to everything really. In short - brilliant!

Perfect in all ways, Location was next to the Old Town Square in a beautiful courtyard, the room and bathroom was very clean, comfortable and very stylish. Breakfast was also excellent with a very wide range of food available. The service in the hotel from checking right through to leaving was first rate. This was the 11th hotel we had stayed in in a period of 6 weeks in the US, UK, Ireland and Czech Republic and it was the best.

Lovely hotel, 5 minute walk from the old town square / centre and about 100m from the moving head monument. Central location next to a range of bakeries and shops. Staff were all really nice and even upgraded our room to a superior (bigger bed and more space) for free upon arrival, without request. We checked in at 1pm too. Also very clean, I would definitely stay again
