Great location for hiking. The parking in the area is rather tight and fills fast so being at the trailhead and having dedicated parking spot is great benefit. The room was clean, had super high ceilings, was nicely decorated, and was well equipped. Few minor things were not in order but they were only noticeable because everything else was great. Hotel interiors are very grand and pleasure to be in. Cannot say anything about hotel restaurant as I had dinner at the restaurant in the castle which I highly recommend because of the fantastic views and great food.

This hotel is so close the national park you can walk there in the evening for free. We were able to enjoy the park almost entirely to ourselves and we took lots of great photos. The hotel is really kid friendly and that brings a lot of fun energy. The staff was incredibly friendly and really took care of us. My dad recommend this hotel based on his stay 30 years ago. It is great to see that nothing has changed and they are still a fantastic spot.

Only five things make the hotel worth visiting: + location; + location; + location; + location; + the hotel is an AWESOME CASTLE (and you're going to sleep in a chamber on the king bed looking at astonishing views through large windows, fashionable furniture, and walking on a cool-squaking floor). Also: + a bathroom is nice and big; there is a shower and a bathtub (and no curtains on the window and a busy view spot across the valley); + there is a parking spot for guests with named spots; + there is a SPA (though I have no idea how it works); + the room can be noisy when you move around, but when you sleep - it is just super-silent.

I disliked everything. Don't come here. Moldy bathroom, moldy carpets in the room, door to our room doesn' work properly, the beds are terrible, like sleeping on springs with a sheet over it, can't close the window, can't close the public bathroom (!), parts of the wall are peeling off through the whole building, it stinks here. The restaurant was terrible service, they sat us (couple) down at a table for four people, and after 10 minutes they filled the other seats with 2 random people, they did that at every table, not just ours. We didn't get cutlery so we had to watch our food get colder whilst waiting for cutlery. I got up to get it myself and they ignored my polite but immediate request for cutlery. We asked to order dessert, they said 'ok' and ran off. No time to order a coffee and a tea with it. Also no time to tell them which dessert, they just gave us something. It was all very cheap though, but still I felt very unhappy being there. Just like the staff, they also seemed unhappy and understaffed. It's a total gaslight. They lure you in with pretty pictures of the building but it's all a facade. We came here after 3 days of exhausting backpacking and this just totally killed our morale. I really hate this place for making me hate it, it does nothing for it's customers except take it's money.

Very friendly guy who has a couple of rooms in his house. It's all very basic but if you're looking for a bed to crash like we did, after some hiking, it's perfect.
