- i loved this hotel. Bed was comfortable and unique. I loved the touch of the speaker to play some music -it felt like you didnt need to leave the hotel to have a good tome and be entertained. Sauna was good, the monkey bar rooftop and neni for food was nice -i liked the bike hire and cycle routes so I managed to see a lot about cologne by bike which was super nice -super nice reception hosts.

    I went to a concert at the Lanxess Arena and had half a day before and half a day after the show. That was probably enough time to walk around the city, along the riverbanks, and see the Cologne Cathedral. I think I would’ve explored more if it hadn’t been so hot, but I’ll save that for next time

    Perfect city for a short stay - we stayed for 3 days and it was just right. I highly recommend not using taxis there and using the public transport - all the stops are near everything you need. We bought a 48hr Koln card, which let us to travel by all means of transportation, so we managed to go around the city pretty cheap. I'm not sure about the night life, as we weren't interested in that. Of course the most important landmarks are the Cologne cathedral, cable car, botanical garden, zoo. The Odysseum has pretty cool exhibitions.

    I visited for 2 days / one night which is nice and gives an nice idea of the city. I could've stayed one day more for a proper visit but 2 days were not bad at all. The city itself is pretty with an impressive cathedral. It is also clean with loads of shops, cafes and nice vibes.

    The cathedral is outstanding and well worth a visit. The climb up the spire is 533 steps but well worth it. Warning though it's not for the faint hearted. A couple of very pleasant squares in the old town and loads of restaurants. We took a 90 minute cruise on the Rhine which was very enjoyable. It's also well worth walking over the railway bridge to check out the 350,000 padlocks attached to it. There is a nice riverside bar at the Hyatt hotel.

    We are foodies, so that's something that's very important to...

    We are foodies, so that's something that's very important to us. We were spoilt for choices as there's a street food market every Thursday evening at Rudolfplatz (Meet and Eat) and so many cafes and restaurants to choose from. We also stumbled across several local street festivals, which are well worth seeking out. Getting around is easy. we stayed near Heumarkt, which has a transport hub for bus, tram and Underground. You can buy a 24 travel pass from the ticket machine (KVB) which allows unlimited travel on all three means of transport as above. Best bit is that to was only 9 euro per day. There's also a hop on/off guided bus tour which goes to a lot of the main attractions for 24 euro per day.

    It was our first trip to Germany and had been told by others to definitely spend time in Munich and Berlin, and most told us we could skip Cologne (other than stopping by to see the cathedral) altogether. As it turns out, Cologne is my favorite of the three cities, by far. It is a major city, yet does not feel that way. I loved the new/old architecture, the walkability of the city and it felt very safe. I would definitely stay in Cologne again. Loved it -

    We had 3 great nights in this hotel; it has character, in a top location (very close to a metro stop) and in a lively neighbourhood with a supermarket next door and many restaurants in the area, just walking distance away, which is really nice after a long day of exploring the city centre. The breakfast was good, with a variety of options to choose from. Vegan options too, which we apreciated. Cologne is very vegan friendly anyway, almost all restaurants had many vegan options.

    Best hotel are the one who give us an upgrade room when available without needed to be asked, and this hotel is one of them, many thanks for the upgrade!! Location is also best because it's directly right at the side of Köllner Dom and inside the hotel is still silence so I can sleep very comfortable. The hotel is already in the center so only walking distance to most tourism place. Staff are also friendly, a very good 1 night stay spent at Cologne.

    Came here with my son and daughter for the Euro's. We had a room for ourselves which was good. Was a good location for getting back into the city centre and also Cologne Stadium. 5 min walk to tram stop with frequent trams into town and return. 10 min walk to Cologne Stadium. Hotel was clean with good facilities and staff were friendly. Would definitely consider staying here again.
