An Economic Centre on the River Rhine
If you’re visiting Dusseldorf in February you’ll witness the bright parade of Carnival, if you visit in July you can take part in the Largest Fair on the Rhine. No matter what time of year you visit you will find a city bustling with festivals, art, music and museums.

Modern City with Parks excellent riverside with plenty of places to drink most serving food in the Old Town, Short walk to the upmarket shopping area with large stores designer shops interesting architecture and very busy. Although not visited, there appears to be lots of Museums and Art galleries. Very impressed with Dusseldorf although streets and parks were covered in empty bottles - some broken after a night of celebrations with fireworks. Dusseldorf has some lovely architecture but it is simply over run with groups of drunks, rough sleeping in main streets and on corners. This was a lot to see especially with our athletes whi witnessed urinating in public and semi naked persons. Nice city with a lot of restaurants and shops. The only minus is that almost all the stores are closed on Sundays, so you have to keep that in mind when planning your activities in Düsseldorf. Also some places only accept cash, so you better keep that with you all the time. Düsseldorf felt quite safe and people were mostly friendly, so I felt comfortable walking around the city.Guest review byRiikaFinland
