BUGA was the draw, and it was well worth it.
BUGA was the draw, and it was well worth it. Loved the area and the revitalized neighborhoods nearby including the canals. The astronomical clock at the Rathaus was fascinating. Great paths for walking and biking along the riverways. Good and new public transportation.

Good food and wine/beer.
Good food and wine/beer. The city was heavily damaged during WWII and was rebuild in the typical, unassuming 1950th style, so do not expect to come here for much of history. The surrounding vineyards are lovely and makes Heilbronn as a perfect place to explore the country side.

The Accor chain hotels offer a certain standard level of quality and I am always happy when I stay in an Ibis, Novotel, Mercure or Sofitel. I loved the comfortable mattress, the very well and pratical designed room and toilet, the fabulus breakfast (even a waffle maker!) in a well lit, nice colors breakfast room. The location is also great. A walking distance from the train station and to the city's center. Next time in Heilbronn, I will stay there again!
