Nice room, clean and well equipped for short stay. Close to excellent pizza place called Piccolo and supermarket Edeka and Kebap. Nice area for walk up the hills. Excellent breakfast - lot's of nice selection of food including vegetarian option. Fresh bread also available to buy for further journey.

The staff and atmosphere of the place. It's basically the old-fashioned feeling of being a guest in an inn, where the inn-keeper is also the cook, and other members of the family are the remaining staff. A very welcome feeling in a homey place. Despite a totally remote village (can't even find it on Google Maps), it's a family driven passion to provide a good night rest with good local food. Totally recommended. You need to speak some German though... English might not work very well here.

A very beautiful little town, centrally located; you can quickly reach other cities. Everything was great. We were in Titting for the Gutmann Brewery's cellar festival; the Roman and Bavarian Museum in Kipfenberg was very nice. The Altmühl Valley is simply a beautiful part of our German homeland.

Kipfenberg is a wonderful old town on the Limes.

Kipfenberg is a wonderful old town on the Limes. Unfortunately, there was construction in the center when we were there, which detracted somewhat from the overall impression. But, sometimes you have to go through construction. The Roman museum is fantastic, but sadly the castle wasn't open to the public.

Kipfenberg is a wonderful starting point for hiking, cycling, and experiencing history. Located in the beautiful Altmühl Valley, Kipfenberg boasts castles, palaces, and other historical sights! It's always worth a visit. My wife and I enjoyed it very much; we've been here three times already and will definitely be back!

I can't say much about Kipfenberg itself.

I can't say much about Kipfenberg itself. Due to numerous construction sites, our travels mostly took us around the main town. However, the surrounding area is ideal for holidaymakers who want to stay active.

Beautifully maintained hiking trails.

Beautifully maintained hiking trails. Especially loop 16, for which we dedicated two days. Loop 16 is 26 kilometers long and has approximately 1100 meters of elevation gain. With a few additional highlights, such as the Michelsberg, our hike ended up being over 40 kilometers. We highly recommend loop 16. It was one of the most beautiful hikes we've ever done.

A very peaceful village, lovely walks along the water, very welcoming people, and excellent restaurants with good value for money. Located about an hour from Munich or Nuremberg, perfect for exploring the region.

Well kept family run hotel with spacious rooms and restaurant/bar. Cleaning was spotless. Restaurant offered a large menu of basic items such as burgers, pizza's, etc. Food was fresh and with a lot of flavour. Overall you are well aware you're not in a chain-hotel. Location is the small town of Kipfenberg and the hotel has sightlines on a few of the local landmarks that you can take in whilst enjoying your beer on the terrace.

We felt very welcomed and the staff was super friendly. The food and the breakfast was delicious (extra impressive with the bio food!). The area was quiet and possible with walk in the green just beside the hotel - but still close to the autobahn on the way south/north. We slept all very good

There was a huge selection of fresh meats, cheeses, breads, eggs, cereal etc. Truly wonderful. The restaurant in the hotel makes some wonderful burgers. Very cosy and inviting. It is a family run hotel which shows in the attention to detail. All in all a wonderful stay, certainly recommended!
