I came here during Christmas, and I have one of my best Christmas experience in Germany. The view is amazing, the room is extremely comfortable, and staff are all patient and friendly. The Christmas dinner is really impressive, the vibe is great and the food are delicious. If I ever visit Mittenwald again, I will definitely book this hotel.

A beautiful little town in the mountains.

A beautiful little town in the mountains. There are sooo many choices of where to eat. Walking around oldtown is a treat with the paintings on the buildings, views of the mountains and decisions of where to eat. Oldtown is completely walkable.

Picture perfect Mittenwald has the perfect balance of of beautiful buildings, plenty of food options, and beautiful shops. We enjoyed spending an afternoon hiking the nearby Leutasch-Klamm Wasserfallsteig.

We've been to Mittenwald many times and it's one of my favorite places in the region. It's a beautiful village with lots to see and do. There are many places to hike and a cable car trip to the top of Karwendel is a great way to spend a day.

Mittenwald has a lot to offer for all ages and interests.

Mittenwald has a lot to offer for all ages and interests. The historical city centre has a number of sights and a good choice of restaurants - for many the real beauty begins once you leave the city. From taking cable cars, walking along the river or through the forest to climbing peaks up to around 2,500 m, the natural surroundings are stunning. The city does a good job at offering public buses that take tourists to the most important sights and trailheads, giving us the chance to leave the car at home and help preserve the gem that Mittenwald is!

We loved wandering through the town, looking at all the painted façades of the old buildings. There is a variety of walks from Mittenwald. We did the walk to the Leutascher Geisterklamm, beginning at the Koboldpfad & completing a figure 8, crossing the Panoramabrücke twice. We also took the Kranzberg chairlift to the top, then walked to the Lautersee, down the Laintal, following the waterfall & back to Mittenwald.

The view of the beautiful Alpine Triangle is stunning. We were very lucky that on the first day we arrived, the weather was clear and sunny, with a strong sun that made for great photos. When it was time to leave, the weather turned gloomy and it started to snow heavily, with big, fluffy snowflakes. The entire trip was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it.

The rooms were clean and sufficient. Breakfast was basic sufficient. I did not meet the hosts upon arrival, but the instructions to get the keys was easy to understand and there were no issues. The room had a nice view of the mountain from the balcony. Overall, it's a nice place to stay in Mittenwald.

The accommodation in Mittenwald was great. I really liked the location – peaceful with beautiful views and still close to the town center. I appreciated the parking available on-site and the simple and flexible check-in and check-out process, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
