The kids loved the pool and were virtually living in it for the two weeks of our stay. Loved the breakfast and variety, especially with a fussy two-year old. All the staff lit up when they saw our children and were so kind and thoughtful. My son loved the wee turtles outside the front entrance.

Loved the feel of the Zona Colonial where we stayed.
Loved the feel of the Zona Colonial where we stayed. Beautiful architecture and historical buildings. Interesting history. Guides on every street corner who with lots of pride and patriotism show you around. Visited Lago Los Tres Ojos really worthwhile. Lots of security. We felt very safe.

El Conde is a nice street to walk on in the day or early evening, just stay as far to the East side as possible. The beaches in Santo Domingo are filled with water garbage, go to Boca Chica if you'd like to actually get wet, but you better pack a lunch because everyone will try to rip you off for literally everything. China Town is nice, try to go during lunch hours on the weekend where they have amazing street food.

The owner/Host was very accommodating with a detailed tour of the entire house on every level. During the tour the host detailed the proper use of the pool functions and I was super happy that my girlfriend was allowed entry prior to my arrival to prep for me. I would definitely recommend this property for a stay.

We enjoyed our 3 full day vacation.
We enjoyed our 3 full day vacation. Great food, nice balance of things to do (historical, nightlife, shopping, recreation). We had an excursion to rappel down several waterfalls. Then we spent 2 days enjoying several different restaurants, walking along the Malecón, visiting the caves of Tres Ojos, and enjoying the weather. We are already looking forward to our next visit! We would recommend the following restaurants: Affogato Cafe, Raymond Mariscos, WTF “What’s That Food”, M7, and Jalao. Honestly all our meals were 10/10. Service was good also and we only know a little Spanish. We enjoyed that there was more than enough to do within walking distance of our hotel in Zona Colonia.

Santo Domingo is an incredible city.
Santo Domingo is an incredible city. You feel the history there and of course it's the people who make the city so vibrant. I was a solo traveller and never ever felt unsafe : everybody was very welcoming to me and I appreciate it a lot. When I arrived, I took the metro: it was clean and easy to understand. There are no electronic machines to buy tickets: you had to buy a ticket at the glass box with a metro worker sitting there.
Zona Colonial is the place to see: very old historic buildings, local cafes are very charming. And of course the University!
I went clubbing at night and OMG, it was so cool. Dominicans know how to do la fiesta.
Everybody told me to be careful when filming with your cellphone outside in the city and watch your bags. I never had any issue with this. I was filming all freely and never felp unsafe. May be I was lucky, I don't know.
I spent only two days there but I will be back for more. And again, it's the people!!! Dominican people!! Free-spirited, music-loving people!!
Quaint historical building from the times of Cristopher Columbus, 500 year old, remodeled. Right in the center of Old Town, Zona Colonial, in a quiet location, near all the night life, safe, walk to bars and restaurants,, museums, art galleries , Nice pool, patio, mango tree jacuzzi, roof top, beautiful rooms with great matrasses, decoration. Great service, excellent breakfast and food , exotic cocktails. Very friendly staff, the best place in Santo Domingo I will come back often, good wifi
Amazing place to stay in Santo Domingo. Big, beautiful rooms, SUPER FAST internet with amazing TV channels, including those from USA like HBO, ESPN, FOX etc. All very clean and tidy. The most important aspect of hotel is its amazing staff. Cristofer will help you with everything, speaks good English for those who aren't fluent in Spanish. He took us all the way to ATM and waited for us. Amazing guy!! Strongly recommend this place and will definetly be back 😉👌🙂
The staff was more than wonderful. So warm and accommodating. As somebody who speaks very little Spanish and had never been to the Dominican Republic I had nothing to worry about. The staff made sure whatever I needed they had an answer for me. From a hotel operated taxi service to an included breakfast that was fit for a king, it was hands down the best hotel experience I’ve had in my 50 years of living. I will always stay here anytime I’m in the DR.
I stayed many times at this hotel when I come to Santo Domingo, and I'm always happy with what I get. Small cozy apartment with a big bedroom and a small kitchen and fridge, super nice staff, perfectly located, and one the cheapest price in la Zona for this kind of hotels. On top of that the hotel has a super cute terrasse, and your room doesn't face the main street, which in Santo Domingo, is something that you would want :)
The owners were super helpful and friendly, they went beyond any expectation to make sure our stay was as smooth and good as possible. The accommodation was very clean, spacious and had all facilities we could ask for and is located in the ideal location. We got great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit, and they even helped us plan our trip around Dominican Republic. We recommend anyone to stay here!
The staff treated me well and were talking to me almost all the time. The hotel is located, literally, in the heart of the colonial zone area, just a few steps away from the Colon Park. I can't tell you about the breakfast and stuff like that from the hotel, as I always ate outside, and the bathroom was a tiny bit too small, but other than that, everything was absolutely fine with the stay.
Nice hotel in a charming old colonial house within the historic district of Santo Domingo. Fantastic location! Room was basic, but good value for money. The Haitian staff spoke excellent French in addition to Spanish, were helpful and friendly, and helped arrange onward transport. Simple but tasty breakfasts of cheese+ham omelets.
Everything was great! it was my first time travelling solo and this was an amazing start. Felt safe and very welcomed by the staff and fellow travellers. Amazing location from everything you need in la Zona Colonial. Very nice ambiance and surprisingly not that warm considering the scorching hot weather of Santo Domingo!
Stylish, bohemian chic hotel well-located in the historic center of the Santo Domingo. The staff and owners were friendly, helpful and welcoming. One of the best breakfasts that I have ever had. Comfortable bed and beautiful interior garden. We really enjoyed our stay!
The staff are very nice! The restaurant is decent and the location and parking practical! It’s a good place to stay for a night after arriving from the airport. Good price. Oh even breakfast was great! Good coffee in Dominican Republic!!!
the staff specially Juan is an amazing host and the housekeeper lady is very nice too( better than any fancy hotel workers) ! the location is the best in the colonial zone . room size was very big and clean 👌. it feels safe too!
very nice hotel in a good location. it met our expectation as any embassy suites hotel would. we enjoyed the nice view of santo domingo and the kids like the sleeper sofa in living room. food trucks located in walking distance of hotel.
Hotel was a great location easy to reach Santo Domingo, Call the Uber driver on +1 (849) 864-9117 He is a great driver, speaks English and Will drive you to Colonial City og ejer you want to go in Santo Domingo for 500 Pesos (10 USD)
This is probably the best hotel along the Malecon (waterfront) in Santo Domingo. It's within walking distance of all of Gascue. However, it is a bit of a hike from the Colonial Zone. Clean, modern, and well run.
Good facilities, friendly and helpful staff, the gym was excellent, the food was good plentiful and reasonably priced for a five star hotel, we liked it so much we stayed twice whilst in the Dominican Republic
well located in zona colonial, with friendly and diligent staff, good maintenance and a great dominican style buffet. Overall, great start point for your trip in santo domingo.
One of a kind, great holiday spot. Unique and special place. Guaranteed good experience. Everything you need to spend a great time in Zona Colonial of Santo Domingo.
