The staff was very friendly, super attentive and took great care of us. While the buffet selection wasn't extensive which is understandable since it was off-season, the food was great and reminded me of home cooked meals. The Select side was worth the extra $ if you enjoy peace and quiet and less crowded pools - a good amount of locals checked in on the weekend and the other pools were louder and had a lot more people, but with 4 pools, a kiddie pool, 4 outdoor jacuzzis and a beautiful beach, you can find plenty of quiet spots to lay out and read a book in the shade or enjoy some cocktails in the water and sunshine.
The bartenders were fantastic and brought drinks to us constantly no matter where we were, we didn't have to get up to go to the bar at all. The buffet and restaurant staff were all super friendly and attentive and made every meal enjoyable. Overall, we were extremely happy with the service, the facilities and the great staff.

Sosua offers everything for a nice short holiday. a very beautiful beach is Playa Alicia. You have to pay for the sunbeds/ umbrellas but it is worth it. German butchers have great sausages and meat and also the "La Cantina" restaurant in La Mulata is great if you search for German food. The Playero supermarket offers a great variety of products.

We have been here in Sosua for one week.
We have been here in Sosua for one week. We stayed only two nights at Sosua Ocean Village after we canceled our Airbnb because it was horribly dirty. I do not feel this is a town for children. The ocean village is, but if you stay in Sosua and intend on going in to walk the city, etc, no. It's so busy, with random dogs and motorbikes and cars everywhere. The number of times we had to walk on the busy road over the sidewalk was countless.
Sosua Beaches waves are big, which is not a good place to swim. Playa Alicia was better, but there was lots of garbage washed up on the beach - tons of it. I don't know why it isn't cleaned up. You also have to pay to use the palapas and chairs. We had our own beach towels, so we did not take advantage. Sosua Beaches vendors hassle you a bit, and the prices are high. You should not pay more than 100 pesos - more like 50 for a fresh coconut. One vendor tried to charge me 300 pesos.
The restaurants are plentiful, and lots have great food and great prices. Take note of the two taxes they add! There is 18% tax and then a 10% tax that is a service tax = 28% TAX. I have read that this 10% does not all go to the server and can be kept by management or distributed amongst all staff, so be sure to leave a couple of extra dollars if the service is great.
The Ocean Village is beautiful, but where this condo is situated is not ideal. You want to be away from the workers coming in and all their loud motorbikes that they rev repeatedly. The ivory or peach condos would be better. We would never stay in this condo again based on its location. Good Luck!

Horrible, dirty, the rooms are old and dirty, the towels were broken, the toilet was not working, the floor was dirty and the bed was broken. Not to forget that the bed sheets were used. There was not water to shower and i felt like i was in prison or something similar

I have been to Sosua 5 times for the beach, Playa Alicia is my favorite. The restaurants were plentiful & all great and it is a very walkable town. The traffic is noisy and a bit dangerous but if you like local flavor its ok. There is an overwhelming amount of Prostitution, so not a good place for children. I wish it could be cleaned up because they have some of the best beaches I've ever seen.

This accommodation is just what you need to enjoy Sosua and surrounding the best. Thanks to the lovely host Nikki who cares great for her guests and it feels like family. The rooms are very tidy and the furniture & fittings modern and beautiful. You really feel relaxed, the moment you are there. very beautiful Garden/ pool area and even the option to make BBQs. It is an oasis for spending holidays. If we travel back to Sosua for sure we will book Garden By the Sea again.
Hotel is located in the middle of the action, though there is no noise at night. The staff is very friendly. The staff responsable for cleaning the rooms does a very good job. Overall the staff likes to smile a lot, so I felt really welcome. The poolview from the balcony was relaxing for the eyes. My stay was overall comfortable.
Hotel does Not provide Breakfast with accommodation price of $90 per night! !!!!!
It has it's private restaurant Baileys where you buy breakfast. ...good but pricy!
Busy hotel...with almost 24 hours noise n it's an adult hotel. ..not for family....but excellent location n very vibrant for youngsters! !!!!
The beaches were close and the view was great. At the same time, the weather did not allow swimming in the ocean, but the hotel cannot be blamed for that. The hotel did everything to ensure the safety of customers.
We spent 10 days in a quieter part of Sosua, but still close to the center and the beach. The apartment is like home, the owner is very helpful, honest and is always in contact with him if necessary
