Caldas de Reis is a beautiful, walkable village.
Caldas de Reis is a beautiful, walkable village. There is a 30-minute walk to a waterfall that I wanted to take but it was too hot that afternoon. It was too hot to take advantage of the hot pools as well. It would have been nice to stay another day here, take a rest day. The restaurants looked really nice as well.

Caldas de Reis is a regular stop-over on the Camino Portuguese. The main square with palm trees is lovely. There are cafes and you can sit there have coffee and enjoy, I only made a one night stop so can't really say much more.

Hotel was located along the river close to the highlights of the city with many restaurant choices. The bathhouse and services were very nice and easy to book even at the last minute. My room was very comfortable, the bathroom was well laid out and the shower was amazing. The hotel was located on the Camino Way so it was a perfect location for me as a pilgrim on the Camino. The pull out sofa bed looked brand new and was very comfortable. One of the bathrooms had a large bathtub. The views from the windows were pretty, and the plaza on which the hotel was located is gorgeous. Even more, the hosts were extremely helpful!
