The room was ok. We had a big bathroom and a sea view. The pool and the terrace of the hotel are really nice. The swimming pool is not big but it’s a nice place to rest, after climbing the stairs back from the beach.
The hotel is in front of the sea but not beachfront since it’s on a cliff. And the sea is seen from above. You have to walk down the hill to get to the beach. The breakfast was very nice.

Fab bars and restaurants, reasonably priced, friendly staff everywhere we went.
Great walks, close enough to walk to Agua Amarga through the countryside - about 7km.
Good location to visit the rest of Cabo de Gata.
Good shops.

The hotel and accommodation was excellent.
The hotel and accommodation was excellent. Couldnt ask for more, the room was large, roomy and no expense was spared. The balcony was good and overlooked the sea. The staff were very good, nothing was too much trouble for them. It is easy to get to the beach, just down a short road opposite the hotel. You can walk along the promenade and there are quite a few restaurants and chiringuitos. Come back inland two streets and you will find shops and quite a lot of bars and restaurants. We will be returning next year.

Comparing to many other beaches in Alemeria, Carboneras was a very relaxing place to stay. Not over exploited, not too many tourists, nice sandy beaches to visit, lots of places to eat great food and really not expensive.

We had an amazing time at Casabah. We've been going to Carboneras for many years and absolutely love this charming little village. We had stayed in Casabah in the past and the change in ownership did not make our experience any less amazing. Patrick and Anne are very welcoming and accommodating. They had great recommendations for restaurants and were helpful in all possible ways. We will definitely go back and stay with them when we return to Carboneras. The breakfast was delicious (especially the home made jams and local fruits).
The hotel is very well located, our room was overlooking the sea (sea-view room). The beach is less than 1 minute walk from the hotel. The beach is rocky and the entrance into the water was quite painful. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants and has it’s own restaurant with very decent variety of local gastronomy. The waiters are very nice and dedicated. There are supermarkets, pharmacies and laundry shop 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Our room was well furnished and was cleaned every day.
Maria and her husband were incredible hosts, we had the best nights sleep on our road trip through the south of Spain. I only wished we had stayed here for the whole trip. Sunsets were incredible, we slept in on day of departure and there was no problem. I would recommend this place to anyone, 20yards away from the beach which was dog friendly!! We will be back 100% . Maria and your husband thank you so much for being great hosts!! It was much appreciated
Proximity to the sea
Fantastic history of the property and gorgeous common areas. The place could easily be a high end boutique hotel if someone could invest in an upgrade. Who doesn’t want to visit where Omar Sharif stayed and look at the location of the Lawrence of Arabia film. I hope the hotel preserves its wonderful artefacts and the old telephone room - old style glamour!
Great comfortable beds, good quality sheets and towels - 5* quality
