Magaluf Was an Unpleasant Surprise. Our stay in Magaluf was not what we expected. The area around Magaluf Beach was overrun with stag and hen parties, loud nightlife, tattoo shops, and mostly fast food places like pizza and kebabs. We were hoping for a more sophisticated or relaxing atmosphere, but it felt more like a party zone catering to large groups and budget tourists. The Platja de Son Maties area nearby was noticeably calmer and cleaner, and if you’re staying in Magaluf, that’s a better option. That said, I honestly regret not staying elsewhere entirely — S’Arenal Beach or even Sóller, which, while it has a smaller beach, offers a much more charming and relaxed vibe overall.Guest review bySusanaIreland - Review score

Have been visiting at least once a year for 42 years.Mainly in low season not in high summer. So cannot be too much I dislike about it. Cafe,s and restaurants all friendly, shops good. After summer Magaluf is empty, only British family or couples around. Most of the pub and disco are closed, I would suggest to go to Palmanova for October. Rooms are a great size, with comfy beds and modern, bright furnishings. Everything is kept spotlessly clean by the facilities team. Hotel has a bus stop for Palmanova, Palma, and the airport right outside. The centre of Magaluf is a 15min or so walk, but it's all flat and very easy.
