Great location, room was lovely, breakfast was very good, staff was very pleasant though we had some issues with trainees trying to help sort out a reservation issue that they obviously hadn’t been trained for. We had to go back and seek out a more experienced person. Overall a great experience though.

The birthplace of Picasso is as colorful as an artists palette, from the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea to the golden sun, which gives 300 days of sunshine per year. When the sun sets, the vibrant nightlife awakens and youll find your place among the youthful square of the old center, the trendy bars of La Malagueta or on one of the terraces of Pedregalejo.
There's also rich history underneath the sun and fun. Alcazaba is a Moorish castle from the 11th century and just next to it are the remnants of a Roman Theatre. The white stone tower of the Malaga Cathedral rises up in the heart of the city centre, and offers an interesting respite from sun bathing on the magnificent and popular beaches.
A more modern history can be appreciated by visiting the birthplace of Picasso and a museum full of exhibitions by Malaga 's most famous resident. A more relaxed Spanish city than Madrid and Barcelona, Malaga is still the gateway to the Costa del Sol and the busy Malaga Airport is only 6 miles from the center of town.
From budget hostels to 5-star luxury hotels, with Booking.com you're sure to find the perfect place to stay for your sunny vacation.
We only stayed in Malaga overnight to meet at the airport.
We only stayed in Malaga overnight to meet at the airport. The old town in worth visiting, it includes a museum in the house where Picasso lived as a boy. The food market is a great place to eat and drink and admire the displays of fish and meat. There are plenty of good restaurants that are not expensive.
Trains and buses are cheap, so it is not expensive to travel around the city.

We live within travelling distance of Malaga and have visited the city numerous times, and we have friends who live in the city. For anyone who loves Spain, Spanish culture, and food, Malaga is a must visit city. The historic sites are all well maintained and welcoming, alongside a bustling port and several sandy beaches.

Safe, clean city. Picasso Museum was great.
Safe, clean city. Picasso Museum was great. Walking through the Alcazaba forts was fun. Easy to walk everywhere including nearby beaches. The sand isn't nice but the water and the intense blue skies make up for it. Boat trips from nearby port also fun. Fruit and veg very tasty. Found a Vegetarian restaurant with lots of vegan options (beside the cinema).

Having been to Malaga many times I can see it has gone downhill due to a few factors. Excessive tourism gas eroded this once charming city and led to quite a rude attitude in some places the food we were served in some restaurants was clearly microwaved and surly staff. There needs to be some kind of change to bring it back to the way it once was. Now we met some lovely people too but overall I was quite shocked at the decline.

Malaga is very popular so always busy.
Malaga is very popular so always busy. However, unlike our last visit quite a few years ago we did notice there is a considerable amount of graffiti on buildings which, sadly, appears to becoming the norm in many cities around the world.

Lovely small hotel, good comfortable rooms, very clean, with pleasant staff. We had the continental breakfast which was plentiful and set us up for a days sightseeing.
Great location for visiting the old town and wider area of Malaga. Close to cafes / restaurants and shops
This hotel met & exceeded all expectations. Superb location & stunning inside. Rooftop bar with pool & restaurant was the star of the show as it has stunning views over Malaga old town. The rooms were very modern & absolutely spotlessly clean.
Great no frills hotel experience if you want comfort and convenience in the heart of Málaga.
Short walk across a road and your immediately by the shops, bars and restaurants of the charming old town
Also a short walk from the marina area
