The house and facilities are not “charming “ if just quickly glimpsing through but it deserves to slow down and observe. Once you start settling down, it’s easy to be found how comfortable to navigate and use everything. The hosts are very patient about every question I asked. It’s a hidden gem to be discovered.

The kitchen had everything we needed. It was nice that there was a washer and a dryer. They also had a fan which was nice because it was hot without air-conditioning. Good WiFi. Easy to park and free which was nice.

Basilica was too crowed during the day.

Basilica was too crowed during the day. We paid for boys' choir visit at 13:00 but that was just 10-15 min long (3 songs). Feels like a big cash machine. We liked museum visit, suggest to plan enough time for that. We took cable car to the top and back. We enjoyed time walking on the top of Montserrat and taking photos.

Staying a couple of nights here allows you to experience the full atmosphere of Montserrat. The silence after the day trippers have gone is wonderful. We chose to go for several walks rather than compete with the crowds, and visited the cathedral and museum etc in the early or later part of the day. The choir is world renowned - book your tickets early if you can. We were fortunate to benefit from cancellations. Walking the path ways at the end of the funicular is doable for most abilities, as they are more graded than stepped.

Being there in the early morning, after staying overnight...

Being there in the early morning, after staying overnight was perfect. We were able to participate in the vespers at 6:45, go to mass at 7 am and see the Lady of the Throne at 8 am. We are early people, so having to wait until 10 am for a funicular out was frustrating, but worth the quiet morning at the monestary.

Like its good location, and free to enter the monastry if...

Like its good location, and free to enter the monastry if you are a guest in the hotel. Great to see the sun rise when there are no tourist, and you can pray quietly both in late evening and super early in the morning. In the stay, God also showed me extraordinary sign when I was walking outside at 5am. Definitely a sacred place.

The best is to arrive in the second part of the day and stay...

The best is to arrive in the second part of the day and stay over night when it is less crowded to enjoy the views and silence. There are few trails around the monastery. You may walk one of them before sunset and in the morning you may go to San Jeroni and enjoy the views before its too hot. You may ask for a trail map in the information office. You may go to San Jeroni without using funicular , just take steps next to Abbat Oliba statue and you will see pointers. You may also buy water in the machine in the hostel next to the statue. In the evening noone asked for a ticket to see Madonna although if you stay in the hotel you have free access anyway.

Amazing place.

Amazing place. Just don't be in a hurry and have time to feel it. If you can have an overnight, have it! Late evening and early morning hours are the best time to have the real feel of Montserrat.

The room had a spectacular view onto the monastery and wider vista (although I have seen that some people have not been so lucky and have instead faced the cliff face). Staying so close allows you to experience the monastery in the late evening before it closes without the crowds. Also, we were able to enjoy the sunrise with a short walk up to Michael's Cross which I would thoroughly recommend. Whilst there is no parking directly adjacent to the hotel, you can use the temporary space to drop your bags and then park for 14euros nearby.

Old winery with great Spanish atmosphere and beautiful views of the surrounding area. Fantastic traditional Spanish breakfast ..exceptional value . Would love to have been there to have lunch!! Good location to visit Montserrat and only 10 minutes from El Bruc ..with some good restaurants for the evening

We loved the room—it was bright, comfortable, and had a breathtaking view from the window. The location is unbeatable, right on Montserrat Mountain, just steps away from the monastery. The peaceful surroundings and incredible scenery made the stay truly special.

I had a very pleasant 3-night stay at the apartment. Most of what is needed is provided to make use of the kitchen. Nice view over the mountain and lovely to stay in Montserrat for longer to enjoy the walks around this mystical place. I will be back!
