nice little room with an incredible view, comfy beds and helpful hosts. Breakfast and Dinner at a restaurant nearby, both highly recommendable. we could also see most of the abbey with no crowds thanks to staying at this hotel. Really enjoyed the stay. Another perk is that they let you drive the car up to the very top to drop off your luggage. one still needs to park further down for the night but it helps a lot not to have to drag up the suitcases.

We arrived early and had lunch there, it was very good value and quality. Despite being over an hour early, we were checked-in immediately. In the evening we did not want another full meal so we had tapas, the server was very friendly and accommodating.

The owner was very responsive and helpful even meeting us at the train station to help us with our luggage to the home. The house had little extras of coffee, spices and cold water in the fridge awaiting our arrival. It was lovely to awake to open the window to see the mountains and the peacefulness of the town.

I value cleanliness and I am a bit on the picky side. Casa Cami is tastefully decorated very well maintained & Sparkling clean. I loved the response time from the host -Gemma, as well as the complimentary welcome coffee and water. I very much appreciated the information about local and household amenities. Last but not least is the location. Beautiful views and situated near railway , grocer, restaurants, cafe, bars. I could get around easily even on crutches.

Basilica was too crowed during the day.

Basilica was too crowed during the day. We paid for boys' choir visit at 13:00 but that was just 10-15 min long (3 songs). Feels like a big cash machine. We liked museum visit, suggest to plan enough time for that. We took cable car to the top and back. We enjoyed time walking on the top of Montserrat and taking photos.

Staying a couple of nights here allows you to experience the full atmosphere of Montserrat. The silence after the day trippers have gone is wonderful. We chose to go for several walks rather than compete with the crowds, and visited the cathedral and museum etc in the early or later part of the day. The choir is world renowned - book your tickets early if you can. We were fortunate to benefit from cancellations. Walking the path ways at the end of the funicular is doable for most abilities, as they are more graded than stepped.

Being there in the early morning, after staying overnight...

Being there in the early morning, after staying overnight was perfect. We were able to participate in the vespers at 6:45, go to mass at 7 am and see the Lady of the Throne at 8 am. We are early people, so having to wait until 10 am for a funicular out was frustrating, but worth the quiet morning at the monestary.

Like its good location, and free to enter the monastry if...

Like its good location, and free to enter the monastry if you are a guest in the hotel. Great to see the sun rise when there are no tourist, and you can pray quietly both in late evening and super early in the morning. In the stay, God also showed me extraordinary sign when I was walking outside at 5am. Definitely a sacred place.

The best is to arrive in the second part of the day and stay...

The best is to arrive in the second part of the day and stay over night when it is less crowded to enjoy the views and silence. There are few trails around the monastery. You may walk one of them before sunset and in the morning you may go to San Jeroni and enjoy the views before its too hot. You may ask for a trail map in the information office. You may go to San Jeroni without using funicular , just take steps next to Abbat Oliba statue and you will see pointers. You may also buy water in the machine in the hostel next to the statue. In the evening noone asked for a ticket to see Madonna although if you stay in the hotel you have free access anyway.

Amazing place.

Amazing place. Just don't be in a hurry and have time to feel it. If you can have an overnight, have it! Late evening and early morning hours are the best time to have the real feel of Montserrat.

Excellent location, Just next to the Montserrat Basilica. The room was basic but comfortable enough for two of us. There was an elevator in the building which was convenient for us to move our luggage. Breakfast was excellent with various kinds of ham, cheese, fruits, and bread. I thought that it was a little bit pricey. However, this hotel would be the best choice for those who want to stay close to the Monserrat Basilica and may be the only choice for those who want to feel tranquility in Montserrat.

Fantastic location, some rooms better than others as ones at the front overlook the basilica and plaza, but those at the back open their windows to a solid wall of stone. I hope there's a good discount for those rooms 😂 Room was a good size with toiletries provided, we ate breakfast in the hotel which was reasonable selection and quality. Was great to be able to drive the car up to load/unload, quite a long walk otherwise!!
