Lovely hotel all newly done in the section we stayed in. Pool was great and rented lounge chairs on the beach. Parking was a challenge so if you have a big car is difficult maneuvering in the tunnel to park underground. Small car recommended.
Enjoy the sea air from your private balcony in this hotel, make the most of the sunshine by the outdoor pool –you are just a short stroll to the beach.

We stayed in apartment 306 - sea view studio. It was on the top floor with a large terrace. Overlooks the pool, restaurant, and beach. The ceilings inside were slanted so have to be careful not to bonk your head getting out of bed. Had a microwave, toaster, kettle, stove top. No laundry. Had a pull out couch. The bed was so comfortable and for the first time this trip we had excellent pillows! An easy walk down a ramp to the beach. El salon beach next to the hotel is the sandiest beach in the area. The others are more rocky pebbles. FYI in the basement of the hotel is Cochrans Irish pub which has life music. No issue with noise for us on the top floor. Pool is in the sun late morning through late afternoon. Sauna has to be pre booked so they can pre heat it for an hour. This was our second apartment in the area during our stay and we liked this one better. Would stay again!

FAQs about hotels in Nerja
On average, 3-star hotels in Nerja cost $103 per night, and 4-star hotels in Nerja are $160 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Nerja can be found for $155 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
The whitewashed houses perched on rocky cliffs and backed by the Sierra de Burno mountains make Nerja a picture perfect setting. If you're not in a boat, the second best place to admire Nerja is the so-called Balcony of Europe, a viewing platform overlooking the rugged coastline and turquoise waters.
Below the platform is a panoramic restaurant, and there are more restaurants and shops in the narrow town center streets, as you would expect of a Costa del Sol resort. However, Nerja’s distinct character differentiates it from the high-rise resorts. Its relaxed feel and Blue Flag beaches attract families, and there are good diving spots off neighboring Maro.
The town is spread over hills, and below one just outside town the Nerja Caves stretch for over 3 miles. Concerts are held in one cavernous chamber.
A 19th-century, multilevel aqueduct spans a gorge to the east, while to the west the Rio Chillar cuts through rocks to form a waterfall. The nearby donkey sanctuary also houses the occasional other farmyard animal. Dating back to the 17th century is the Hermitage of Las Angustias, and El Salvador Church is on a square looking out to sea.
Booking.com’s Nerja accommodations includes luxury beach hotels, guesthouses with pools, and cheap apartments with parking – particularly handy if you arrive by car from Málaga Airport.
I love everything about Nerja . The friendly people, the bars , the shops , the restaurants , the walks , the day trips ..,,, it has everything for a long weekend away . I go to Nerja a least every year .

We stayed for five nights at Hotel Balcon de Europa, which is a fab hotel in every sense - staff, rooms, food, location.
Nerja is a bustling (not so) little pedestrianised town over-looking the sea with lots of good restaurants and bars to suit all pockets, with gorgeous beaches and glorious weather - what's not to like?
Everything is centred around a network of little streets radiating from the Balcon de Europa with shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and every pocket.
Expect lots of walking!

Pretty Spanish seaside town.
Pretty Spanish seaside town. Lots of bustling bars and restaurants. Plenty of touristy shops. Centrepiece is the Balcon viewpoint with picturesque natural beaches either side. Walk further out to a larger busier beach with umbrellas/loungers and usual touristy sea front with shops and bars and watersport activities. Enjoyed tapas at El Pulguilla. Great meal at Unico. Beautiful view from Bamboo and great Paella. Wonderful seafood at Puerto del Mar restaurant. Easy parking at balcon europa car park and you can buy a week tourist parking pass which makes it affordable for longer stay

My first visit to Nerja.
My first visit to Nerja. Nerja is an attractive town retaining many of it's original character. Pleasant to walk around with plenty of cafes and restaurants.
Not a loud resort, thankfully it is too quiet to attract "Stag and Hen" weekends.
Quick and easy transfer from Malaga airport, so would definitely go back.

Very walkable city except lots of climbing.
Very walkable city except lots of climbing.
Center tourist area very crowded in the afternoon and evening, but easy to avoid.
Lots of hiking possibilities: Frigiliana (suggest Rio Higueron (canyon) to Nerja, Acequia de Lizar above Frigiliana, walk to Acebuchal) and Maro (also lots of hikes above it).
My favourite restaurants: Bakus, Oculto and Oliva.

Nerja town centre is typical of many Andalucian small holiday towns, with narrow bustling streets, many places to eat and drink, and a pleasant viewpoint on the seafront. It is not the easiest place to walk around if you have any mobility issues.
To explore the region beyond Nerja is is necessary to have a car or use public transport. Fellow guests were saying that they found a stay of more than 4 days too long as they were without a car and buses are only hourly. I would not recommend this town for anyone wanting to explore this region without a car, and would recommend the towns nearer to Malaga, for example, where there are bus and train services.

Beautiful place to stay. I booked here on the back of glowing reviews from Booking.com and I'm very glad I did. This hotel seems newly renovated and we loved the very fresh and contemporary decor. Very friendly reception staff and lovely pool. Great location with very short walk to restaurants, Balcon de Europe and the centre of Nerja. Would happily return to stay here. Only downside is the cost of parking (€15 per night during our stay).
Stayed here several times and never disappoints. Could not suggest this hotel enough to anyone visiting Nerja. Staff are friendly and really accommodating. Prime location to get to the centre or the beach. I've stayed in several hotels in Nerja and this one is fantastic value for money.
Very nice and helpfull personel. Apartment was spacious and well equipped. Roof terace was surprisingly calm and nice for evening rest. It was sixth apartment i rented in spain and was definetely the best.
I would recomended and i will come back if i would be back in Nerja.
Clean hotel in a good location close to the main Burriana beach and on a street just off the main road through Nerja. Breakfast was absolutely brilliant - English bacon was a great touch.
Lovely little hotel right in the centre of Nerja ,
Clean, great staff, only thing missing was a bar but only 2 seconds from the centre so all good.
Overall excellent.
