Excellent, family-run hotel, with simple rooms all with balcony views of The Picos and a small subsidiary estuary at the beautiful town of San Vicente. The hotel is positioned right next to the Camino de Santiago del Norte. The owner was more than accommodating in helping me make tea for breakfast, which was very good value.

Spectacular coastal city with historic fortress and plenty of city life to enjoy yourself morning, afternoon and night. 30 minutes from other historic places like Altamira. Great home base to travel throughout Cantabria and even easter Asturias. A place that I would like to return to many times.

Lovely town for a few nights - plenty of seafood restaurants and old town to wander around. Nice choice of Sandy beaches nearby and Comillas is also a short drive away which is a very old town with quaint buildings and is also where Antoni Gaudi built a house for one of his clients.

I love San Vicente, as it's a beautiful picturesque fishing village, that has delicious food , wide range of choice, lovely warm locals.... Beautiful beaches to find and fabulous countryside to trek in and relax. I would recommend a visit just for the fresh seafood restaurants and the view from the bay of the boats.
For an amazing tortilla de patata I would head to las bodeguis across the bridge, they do a range of tortillas which are the best and tasiest in the village, with a cortado is delicious start to a trip for two is roughly £7.50 euros... You will be hooked once you go there and try the tortilla....

Great location in town and waterfront apartment.
Was surprised by the second half bath upstairs that came in handy.
The owner and Julia were very responsive to my messages/questions. We have been traveling thru Portugal and Spain for the past month and it is the little things that one appreciates. For example, extra towels, blankets, pillows and toilet paper that u to not have to
ask for.
I also appreciated the taxi driver, Maria Jesus, that they
recommended. She was highly responsive and I appreciated her timeliness. 😊
The apartment was beautifully done out with everything you might need, in every room. Particularly special was the terrace looking out over the town, castle and bay. A very comfortable stay, in close proximity to the centre of San Vicente and a very short walk from the bus station. Laura made us feel welcome, was very helpful at the start of our stay, and was ready to help throughout our stay if we needed it. Checking in and out was easy and hassle free. We would definitely stay again.
The apartment is situated in a quiet zone of the centre of San Vicente de la Barquera, close to the church and to the historical centre in of the town.
It is furnished with much taste and is very functional. The sleeping room is towards the calm yard. The flat has everything, even the washing machine! We appreciated 2 bathrooms as our family consists of 4 members.
The supermarket with basic products is very close, 5 minutes walk.
Excellent location for a stop over before catching the Santander ferry.
San Vincente de la Barquera is a nice seaside town with dozens of restaurants along the sea front.
The hotel is right in the centre of town.
Hotel staff were really friendly and very biker friendly. They opened gates so I could park my bike in the hotel grounds.
