I really liked the guy who greeted me. Super sweet. Wasn’t annoyed to see me and was nice and gave me a towel for my shower for free because I was by myself. I liked his energy.

I was only in Sarria for less than 2 days at the start of a camino walk to Santiago. It was a very interesting town with lovely old stone buildings, views, good cafes and restaurants and bars. very interesting historically.
Also a good spot for a bit of preparatory camino shopping — poles, shoes and other gear.

We thought Sarria would have a lot to offer since it is a major hub for Pilgrims. The historical section is so charming and has a handful of fun restaurants and hostels. Wish it had more boutique—like hotels b/c, otherwise, Sarria seems to lack charming housing options. There is a great store at the bottom of the hill as you are about to ascend up the infamous stairs to the historical section and out of town on with your walk. They have anything one would need for the Camino and there is a great pharmacy across the street as well.

There is a store attached to the hostel, so you check-in with the woman at the register in the store. The hostel was very clean, and the room had 2 queen beds with a great view of Sarria. Sarria is a wonderful town along the Camino route, with plenty of restaurants & cafes, nice places to relax outdoors, and cultural buildings. It was a great place to rest before starting the Camino!
The location was excellent as it's at the start point of the Camino walk from Sarria. Host was very friendly. The hotel has a little pantry where you can make your own coffee and tea, boil hot water and you can help yourself to the chocolates and biscuits. There's also a convenience store near to the hotel (abt 2mins walk).
Couldnt stay at hotel, problems with their heating. Had not been informed of this. Moved to shabby hotel, staff very offhand. Facilities poor, no toiletries, no bedside light. Bathroom smelly
Extremely friendly and welcoming host who waited for our very late check-in (after mid night)!!
If I would have returned to Sarria, I would definitely go back to here!
