A beautiful property, very clean rooms and comfortable bed. It was nice to have choices for breakfast and for 5 Euro extra we could get eggs. Location was great and we could walk to a lot of the tourist spots. Hosts also gave great recommendations for dinner.

Breakfast was lovely - apart from the low supply of croissants and baguette on the last day.

The staff was so very friendly and accommodating. Our check-in was easy and parking availability was close, which is not always easy in some hotels.

This hotel and its team were wonderful. They are the reason people select locally owned, small proprietors, over hotel chains or Airbnbs. The hotel was clean and charming with modern elements. The staff were all professional and friendly but most of all, they cared and believe in what they are doing. On top of that, the breakfast was delicious and creative. I normally don't eat breakfast at hotels but theirs was worth while.

Sophisticated Angers sits by 3 rivers draining into the Loire, and the imposing walls and turrets of its 13th-century fortress are a complete contrast to the other Loire Valley castles. The former Plantaganet seat, the castle is surrounded by landscaped gardens and a smaller castle inside contains the medieval Apocalypse Tapestry.
More modern tapestries are in St John’s Hospital, one of the oldest in Europe, by St Aubin’s Tower which was once part of an abbey. Ronceray Abbey sits amid half-timbered buildings on a street which continues over Verdun Bridge to St Maurice Cathedral, whose twin spires tower over Angers. Pavement cafes on the square behind overlook Adam’s House.
The main square - Place du Ralliement – houses the Grand Theatre and restaurants and bars serving Anjou wine and locally distilled Cointreau. Shopping streets surround it and nearby are the Fine Art Museum and Logis Pincé classical museum.
The court building overlooks the elegant Jardin du Mail, while the Jardin des Plantes are the oldest botanical gardens in Angers. The Terra Botanica amusement park is on St Aubin Island, one of several within the rivers. St Nicholas Lake has been artificially created, as has Maine Lake where there is a watersports centre.

As an ancient city it lacked any character, the cathedral was close, there was one ancient wooden framed building (we found) which had recently been OVER restored. The rest was bland, very French architecture but hardly inspiring. There is also quite a big height difference between the top of the city, Cathedral, part of the old abbey, railway station, down to the riverside and chateau area.

The various historic sites (castles, churches, museums, Le Doutre) are so engaging and interesting. Such a lovely setting on the river, it begged to be walked and explored. We would have gone further afield with more time, but for a quick weekend break, it was perfect.

If we could return to that part of France, we would go to Angers instead of Paris. We loved the clean streets, the good places to eat, and all the wonderful staff we met wherever we went. We used the metro buses for transportation and found it was not confusing.

As we were there for a short time we didn't get the opportunity to visit the attractions but they looked as though they would be interesting. We will come back in the future

The 3 day festival les Accroche coeurs is fantastic! The whole city en fête. Music, spectacle, dance, circus, light shows, gigantic fantasy creatures, food village, river spectacles, on and on... This year 13, 14, 15 September. Every year around the Fri, Sat, Sun in September-all free. 100s of 1000s of families come.
No trouble, no litter, respect..friendliness..appreciation...everyone singing-joining in. Angers is ALWAYS wonderful all year round but this is exceptional. This hotel is perfectly placed-2 minutes walk to the city trams.

Room was very clean and welcoming - so much so, we spent much more time in it than expected! The small kitchenette unit (hob, fridge, sink, microwave) was perfect, as we were able to be self-sufficient on the food front. There's a supermarket (Super-U) very close by. The centre of Angers was a short walk away, and we were able to find on-street parking (paid and, just around the corner, free),
The appartement is a beautiful, clean and spatious place located in the middle of the city centre in Angers. It is easy to reach by car or public transportation. And very close to the shops and supermarkets.
The hotel is small and welcoming, located just near the Angers train station. The room is not that big but clean and with a lot of attention to design and detail.
