Location is great, easy walk to town center. Pool was nice as well, extra points for conditioning which was very nice ( and also not common ) considering the extremely hot weather. Receptionist was very nice and patient ( I speak very little French ) and was accommodating.

It is an excellent hotel. The location is great, in the short walking distance of the historical city center. Absolutely quiet at night. The car parking is convenient. The rooms are spacious, well-designed and well- decorated. The coffee machine in the room is very nice, and there is also a kettle, glasses, corkscrew and other useful amenities The beds were comfortable. The breakfast - good and sufficient.

We stayed in the deluxe garden view room. Large room, comfy beds, big tv, great view over garden and the valley below Angouleme. Robes, slippers, coffee and tea in room. Nuxe bath products. Dined in hotel restaurant and had a great meal. Very secure and easy parking. Right in the old town area with many monuments to enjoy. Front desk staff was personable and capable. I could find no fault with the accommodation and stay. Located in a great old building and oh so very French in architecture and atmosphere.
