The location was wonderful, we walked to the beaches and Museum. Aramanches has a wonderful history, enjoyed the shops, staff recommended a local restaurant which was wonderful with local dishes and views of the beaches. The morning buffets were delicious, especially loved discovering their Homemade Teurgoule.
We later relaxed with wine, cheese and Bread in the outdoor sitting area.

The apartment was clean and would have had a nice view if it weren’t for the construction everywhere.

Nice location. Fun decor with passionate, engaging proprietors. Good European breakfast. The dining room was a kick! We had an ocean view from our room. The secure parking was nice.

Really nice and probably underrated village that doesn't seem to be on the tourist radar. Has everything you need, though beware of course the only grocery store closes very early particularly on Sundays.

The museum was really interesting, plenty of tourist shops and places to eat.We spent a morning there which was enough to see what we wanted as this was just a short stop enroute to other museums/d-day beaches.

We stopped in this location as we were visiting the D Day sites and memorials and this is a PERFECT location for this. A 5 minute wall has you on the beaches and your are within 30 minutes drive of pretty much everything you might want to visit.
Lovely location, quiet and comfy but we were in off season to the local town was closed most evenings bar 1 restaurant which was poor, especially for France.
If you are looking for a solid location for D Day sites this is a superb choice.

The breakfast is ok with choices of cereals ,cold meats, cheeses, hot food consists of scrambled eggs and bacon, which is mostly just warm. Good choices of teas and coffee. But after a few days it all becomes a bit the same

Arromanches-Les-Bains is perfectly situated to explore all...
Arromanches-Les-Bains is perfectly situated to explore all the places of interest without staying in a town. Having the beach on your doorstep is relaxing. My only complaint is that the restaurants are expensive and touristy as are the shops.

Lovely property! The grounds and outdoor seating areas were beautiful and relaxing. Fabulous location- close to the sea and town (easy walking distance) yet felt like in the country and extremely quiet even sleeping with the window open. Elegant, tasteful decor in the room and all common areas. Nice breakfast buffet with a large assortment and large inside room or outdoor patio with sea view. Staff was very helpful.
We also enjoyed a wonderful meal at the restaurant at the Hotel de la Marine
Catherine is welcoming and keen to make your stay how you want it. She even loaned us beach towels and chairs. The house is perfectly situated in a quiet street, two minutes from the sea front, shops and restaurants. Arromanches is well placed in the middle of the D-day beaches and 15 mins drive from Bayeux. We opted for breakfast which was very good, including variously croissant, good bread, fresh fruit and yoghurt and even homemade crêpes. We would happily return.
The breakfast was excellent as were the evening meals. The hosts are simply wonderful. I would, however recommend installing a wifi access point for the rooms which are out of reach for proper wifi usage. We sat in the lounge/ reception area as our room had no reception it was lovely too. But certainly for the hotel it would prove wonderful and folks would not invade the reception area. But a truly marvelous hotel and felt very welcoming.
Great central location, easy to find, quiet and comfortable. Good instructions and communication. Perfect for a few days away.
It's good to recycle so it would be really helpful to have some recycling instructions - there were three compartments under the sink but other than general rubbish, I had no idea what to put where or what can be recycled in France.
Arromanches is a lovely place to stay. As a photographer with an interest in Military History, the abundance of D. Day Museums and artifacts is perfect. The apartment building is very French and right in the middle of the busy, little town. There are several excellent restaurants and bakers.
Perfect location.
Fabulous location, in the centre of Arromanches, with the museum only a few steps away as well as all the shops and restaurants.
The hotel is wonderfully quirky with artefacts, books and pictures all to do with aviation and D-day. The breakfast room has to be seen to be believed!
Lovely hosts, very helpful.
The location was right in the center of Arromanches les Bains and walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the Day museum. The owners were super friendly and helpful. As pilots ourselves, we loved the aviation theme and memorabilia throughout the hotel!
The position of the hotel in Arromanche is brilliant, and it was great to be right on the sea front and next to the big new museum. It is an old hotel, we expected it to have quirks and not be very modern.
Beautiful rooms with airconditioning.
Very clean hotel.
Parking the car was free and across the hotel.
Perfect location close to the beach and in the city center.
Nice restaurant for lunch and dinner.
Transferred to Hotel La Marine. Very nice one. Right in front of Gold Beach. Very courteous hotel staff. Breakfast is good. Small Room and bathroom with a seaview. This review is valid for Hotel La Marine.
Everything! The owner is such a fabulous, friendly and welcoming host. The hotel is a real gem, a fascinating place full of aviation relics, and the rooms are incredibly cosy and comfortable. We loved it!
Close proximity to the sea and middle of town. Good location to explore Normandy Beaches. Lots of space, great washing facilities, and our favorite place in our 3 week European holiday.
Fabulous location. We loved being in the center of town with great views and easy access. We were able to find street parking. It is a great little spot for exploring Normandy.
The hotel is a museum. The owners are very proud of their hotel and of their collections, and very happy to tell visitors about it.
Breakfast was excellent.
