The place was magical. Like we were sent back in time. Everything was walkable,quiet and very safe. The Abbey was such an historic gem and the cave carvings were amazing.

Everything was great: the comfort and beauty of the facilities, the kindness and professionalism of people who run this gorgeous place. We were very lucky to find Moulin de Vigonac and already have recommended it to our family and friends.

Beautiful building, well situated in Brantome. Stephanie and Pascal, were friendly, helpful, excellent hosts. Although they spoke excellent English, they were kindly tolerant of our sometimes not entirely functional French. The wifi worked well, the bed was comfy, and the breakfasts, which included every day something that Stephanie had baked or prepared, were quite tasty. Since it was cold and rainy, we didn't spend time in the garden, but it is easy to imagine that it would be lovely in summer. Also, two excellent restaurants we enjoyed, both within walking distance were Au Fil de Temps and Le Jardin des Chouchoux, the former doing an excellent job with classics like Magret de Canard, the latter having some fine, interesting and more modern cuisine, albeit based on local ingredients.
