Un poble de muntanya amb la dimensió adequada per no avorrir-se en el no-res i disposar dels serveis d'una ciutat, i alhora amb l'ambient i l'arquitectura d'un poble, on pots anar a peu a molts llocs (almenys al centre ciutat). La xarxa de bus i tren gratuïta a tota la vall, per als estadants ocasionals també, arrodoneix les possibilitats de transport entre les llogarrets que en formen part. La zona es molt bonica i plena d'ocions per a excursionistes i amants de la muntanya. Chamonix estava molt plè aquests dies d'Agost i els carrers força col.lapsats. El preus dels accessos mecanoics es potser el que més ens ha sorpres doncs per una familia de 4 persones gastar-se 80€ diaris en remuntaments i telefèrics es tot un pressupost... Chamonix és un lloc ideal per a tots els amants de la muntanya, tant a l'hivern com a l'estiu. S'hi poden fer un munt d'activitats, té un ambient molt animat tot l'any, amb molts restaurants, botigues, etc. I està a prop d'altres llocs macos (Saint Gervais, Megève... Pujar a L'Aiguille du Midi és imprescindible.

La nostra habitació donava molt a prop d'una carretera transitada, però no es sentia ni un mínim soroll. Molt ben organitzats per qüestions covid. Sense ser exactamet cèntric, està a prop de tot arreu.
