Fun older hotel with a lot of character. The bar restaurant serves delicious cocktails made on site and the food is extraordinary good.

The heart of the Swiss Normand, Clécy is a pretty, though unspectacular large village/small town, set in beautiful countryside.
For us, it was an overnight stop on a cycle tour, so apart from a brief morning stroll, we didn't really fully experience what the area had to offer, as we were passing through.
We booked the hotel as a 'stop gap' in our sight seeing itinerary. It was pretty much what you expect from a golf hotel - functional . The best part was the restaurant, the food was lovely and the staff were very attentive and pleasant. There was a group of young gymnasts staying in adjoining accommodation at the hotel and they were incredibly well behaved and a delight to see. The hotel is situated in a quiet rural location - we took a very pleasant stroll in the evening past all the holiday Gites.
Warm welcome from very friendly and helpful hosts. Lovely continental breakfast with fresh artisan bread which varied each day. Perfect location in Clécy, halfway up slope between river and village. Selection of good riverside restaurants 5 minutes walk, plus more in village. Easy to get to voie verte (cycling holiday). We were able to store bikes overnight in cellar, which also contained a large refrigerator for guests. The Suisse Normande is a beautiful area and not overrun by tourists like us!
Tucked in a most picturesque spot near the village and river in Clecy. Lovely area of garden with chairs, and easy to take some beautiful countryside walks from there. The owner is charming and so helpful in everyway and I fell in love with their gorgeous Labrador Cookie! Breakfast is so generous, home made preserves, home made cakes, pastries, yogurts. Felt very spoilt. A wonderful stay and sad to leave.
The room was clean and there was hot water. I enjoyed the surroundings of the place as it is next to the river which gives it a holiday feeling. A nice location to stay and bring your family and kids to relax. This hotel caters to these types of guests, and not to a traveling business tripper. The environment is really beautiful, and could be a gold mine, if updated and refurbished.
The location was exceptional, next to a river, restaurants within walking distance and next to the river, great walks/cycling, and many other activities within walking distance -rock climbing, boating, Clecy Tube etc. Nice quiet, 'laid back' feel to the place - no security barriers at the entrance and really friendly staff who spoke excellent English.
The food in the restaurant was excellent & the young waiter who served us was very charming. But see also below. The excellent position of the hotel in the centre of the village & the easy access to places of interest in Suisse Normande was a real bonus. The member of staff who cleaned our room was delightful and did an excellent job.

Excellent location. The owners are fantastic people. The ethos of using locally sourced quality food is great. And environmentally sound products in rooms. The chef (owner) is very good. Dessert trolley looked amazing and the cheeses were superb.
The hotel is clean and welcoming.
Excellent location and very good breakfasts. Very interesting place to stay being an old mill by the river and with extensive gardens. Very quiet and several restaurants within a few minutes walk. Clecy very quiet but with a small supermarket and boulangerie.
The hotelier was very pleasant & helpful. The hotel is up a very large hill and as we arrived by bike on a day when the hotel restaurant was closed, she drove us to a local restaurant and arranged a taxi for our return journey!
Pauline was an excellent host, allowing us to change our booking and meeting us late at the property. Very much appreciated! Great location in Clecy, lovely spot. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you.
