The hotel is nicely decorated with modern touch and functionality. The owners have a great eye for detail and high quality updates in a old building. They have a convenient charger for electric vehicles that is available upon request. The location is great and close to everything.

Absolutely beautiful town , very well set up for tourists. We had two very memorable meals - at Le Cantorberry and l’Auberge du Pelican. Both outstanding- a real highlight , worth going back to Dinan for!

Dinan is a city with much to offer in the variety of interests easily satisfied. Much history. I did find a particular retaurant owner most unpleasant. In fact I should nominate him and his resaturant as the place to avoid. With 10 mins before the restaurant was due to take clients I stepped inside the empty restaurant and with the help of a kind staff memeber, I chose a meal and mentioned I understood I was early and would return in 10minutes. The owner appeared behind the Bar/ serving point, and when advised I wished to order a meal he threw a tantrum and spat out the words "we have no vacant seats" and waked away in a fury. Does he know that he has now become the one and only Restauranter in my many visits to Brittany who does not know what hospitality is and is a disgrace to his profession. The name of the Restaurant is available for anyone who wishes to have it from myself.

Dinan itself has great historical and cultural interest with a welcoming aura excellent restaurants, such as Creperie Ahna. Just below the ramparts is the port of Dinan on the Rance River, which leads to other marvelous places, including Lehon which is a walkable distance on a quiet pathway after crossing the stone bridge at the port. The Yvonne Jean Haffen museum, just outside the boundary of the port in the opposite direction from Lehon, is a stunning surprise, not to be missed. Boat tours and rentals are available.

Walking along the central old streets was time out of mind.
Walking along the central old streets was time out of mind. The cobbles are as in many old cities, and some streets are steep, so walking requires attention and some stamina. There are so many half-timbered houses, it's almost like a movie set, except it's a real, living town. Le Cosy provided a fantastic dinner with friendly staff. The central old church (St. Sauveur) has 12th c. tombs of knights.

This was our first stop off coming off the ferry and driving down through France. It was easy to find and the underground parking made getting our luggage into the hotel straightforward. The historic centre of Dinan was close by for dinner and exploration. The room was comfortable with a good shower room. The breakfast was excellent, with hot and cold choices.
Situated in the town of DINAN, plenty of parking across the road had built in restaurant which we didn’t use but the menu looked good. Room was spacious nice separate shower room with toilet and sink.
First time we have stayed in this Hotel not disappointed.
Breakfast was amazing as expected fresh breads pastries and jam in a pretty breakfast room. Rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, Hotel Arvor is at the heart of the town and surrounded by local shops restaurant etc with a short walk to the waterfront.
