Nice place to visit, it’s a bit pricey but nice, IMO if you want a good ice cream go to Alessandro Glacier I highly recommend it, for a great pizza Profumi d’Italia, set in a nice square. Many pubs and restaurants look over the sea.. it’s really nice.
We missed to see Les Calanques , apparently are awesome. Sunday market it’s a must lots to see alongside the sea, worth visiting

Great climate, really great for vacation.
Great climate, really great for vacation. But the restaurants on the boulevard are absolutely disgusting. Worst food ever. For good and really good restaurants you need to be in town. Don't go to the tourist-restaurants because they don't care about quality, only money.

Interesting Port town typical of the area.
Interesting Port town typical of the area. Parking is difficult and streets are narrow to negotiate. Quieter than nearby Cassis. The beaches are quieter but there is no sand, just rocks. Foot protection to enter the sea is essential,

An interesting, attractive port with views over the harbour, some industrial parts remaining. Bars and restaurants facing the harbour front. Extremely busy and buzzing at night due to street stalls all along the front and restaurant trade. Made a good base to travel for day trips to Cassis and the mountains inland. Only spent a short time in the evenings in town so did not use the beaches

Would definitely return to la ciotat, but was busy mid June, so would be too busy for us in July and August. Good choice of restaurants. Recommend Vietnamese rather than the Thai next door which was overpriced and too pushy to make you buy more.

La Ciotat is a beautiful town placed in a really nice area...
La Ciotat is a beautiful town placed in a really nice area of the French mediterranean cost. Lost of beautiful places around to visit and enjoy. People are friendly, food is good ... what else can you ask for ?
We arrive early evening in La Ciotat and find this nicely renovated hotel in a great location! The room is larger than expected - a great surprise! More storage than I could imagine, lots of floor space to open our luggage. And I took note of past reviews that mentioned that Saturday night can be noisy, so booked a room away from the port side. It was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable and supportive. The shower has very good water pressure. And lots of plugs on the desk to be able to charge our devices.
the room was very spacious, well-lit, and clean. the beds were extremely comfortable. there was a fully stocked kitchenette with a stove, microwave, water boiler, coffee maker, and mini fridge, as well as plates, cups, and silverware. this was super handy. the location was excellent as it was right off of the old port and very close to the city center. the staff was also very friendly and let us leave our bags before check-in and after check-out.
The location of this privately hired apartment is good. It was clean when we, eventually, gained access to the property. It’s been recently renovated with several great features and luxury items which were appreciated like a new Nespresso machine. There’s an Aldi opposite which is handy for everyday groceries. The local beach, a 15 minute walk away, is stunning. The town of La Ciotat is picturesque. The host was quick at communicating.
Very nice apartments right on the Mediterranean not far from Marseille. They were a great deal for my family. The owner is an encyclopedia of information about all the amazing places to eat and things to do nearby. He was very helpful. His recommendations ended up being our favorite restaurants that we ate at in France! The rooms were clean and our kids loved the lofted bedroom. The gated parking was awesome too!
This little light-filled pad was perfectly designed for a holiday for two people. I stayed with my Mother for a week enjoying the beautiful sunshine on the terrace and the charming surroundings of the town of La Ciotat, which faces out to the Mediterranean Sea. Clémence was a very kind and welcoming host and we found all we needed to throughly enjoy our stay.
We stayed here two nights ago and was so relieved to be out of the city and in a quiet comfortable place that had many more facilities than many other hotels around. The wellness centre was fabulous, the beds comfortable, nice to have a fridge in the room for a change And the staff were so welcoming.
The staff was so nice and accommodating. This is a very basic older place. No thrills or luxury but quiet and clean. Would definitely stay there again. Parking and location made it worth it and it had a nice patio so felt more spacious than it was. It also felt very safe as a single woman traveling.
- big house with yard and parking lot (driveway)
- spacious kitchen with lots of pans, pots, tea kettle etc
- laundry machine (tabs provided)
- fans for every room
- very quiet area but close to town / restaurants / shops and not too far to the beach (ca 15 minutes walk)
- friendly staff
We liked the fact it is walking distance to a popular beach in La Ciotat. The area is quiet and secured. Private parking space was included, which is much needed knowing the location! The owner is kind and helped us to retrieve and send by post something we forgot in the house.
Plenty of room. Good shower room and excellent fridge. Nearby Aldi (but nothing else). Nearby beach good for before breakfast swim ( but otherwise very poor ). Nice beach bar / restaurant 10 mins walk away.
Location location only across the road from the beach and near all the cafes and restaurants. The apartment was super clean and had every amenity required to ensure we had a comfortable stay
The location right across from the beach. Room was spacious. Staff was extra-friendly and helpful and enforced Covid-19 protocol. Lots of options on the breakfast!
Really nice and cute hotel, comfy bed and right in front of the beach loved the design, you can see it’s been renovated because every appliance is brand new
