The town was busy and sprawling but had every amenity.
The town was busy and sprawling but had every amenity. I believe the river is lovely but we didn't find it. Fabulous supermarket (ELeclerc) and lots of other outlets we didn't visit. Historic town set on the river Aude!
Historic town set on the river Aude! Needs a complete makeover and a lot of money spent by the commune to revive business! However it is an unpretentious, honest little town with good infrastructure and close to many areas of interest. Many restaurants, bistro’s to choose from. Good Friday market! Limoux is a great little town.
Limoux is a great little town. Lively and beautiful, with a lovely ‘old town’, lots of easy parking, a gorgeous fast flowing and clean river,plenty of life even in winter, a nice market on Fridays in the square, surrounded by cafes and bars. The new part of town has all essential commerce and a good sized population. Buses to lots of nearby places for only one euro! I’m going back ASAP!Guest review byLucyUnited Kingdom

Well equipped kitchen too. Great area, very relaxing with good walks in the hills and between the vineyards. Jeremy was a superb host, extrememly generous and helpful with a real understanding of hospitality. We much appreciated the welcome bottle of Blanquette de Limoux, which was excellent. Overlooking a garden area with views of the river. There was a lift into the apartment. The apartment is within easy walking distance to Limoux Town, shops and restaurants, beautiful apartment and would highly recommend it, thanks to Anna and Michael for an enjoyable stay.Guest review byGrahamAustralia

We changed the time of arrival a couple of times (he lives on site so he was flexible) and we told him we may have extra guests so we paid an additional 40 euros cash. Big supermarkets are close by but can only be reached by car. Having a car is the best option to go to Limoux.
