Nice is one of the most beautiful towns and near a lot of sights. Monaco, Monte Carlo, Grasse, Vence, St Jean Cap Ferrat, etc, etc. Everything was within driving distance from Nice.You can even do a day trip to Italy. Ventimiglia is the closest town over the border. Nice's architecture and location between sea and sky is the most perfect thing. Food is good, shopping is extensive and the people are nice. Nice is an exceptional city in a country that attracts people from around the world. It has a unique character that is influenced by its position on the Mediterranean and near Italy. Its beachfront is magnificent offering miles of beaches for swimmers and sun worshippers and a world class seafront promenade for walkers and cyclists. Excellent restaurants and museums. pre-downloaded app "Carte LIgnes D'azur Mobile" + Lignes D'azur Ticket" and loaded a 5 Day unlimited. With this one I was able to use non-stop all trams, buses. Also those bus in BEAULIEU SUR MER to the Rothshild Villa. Elegant seaside city with gorgeous architecture and funky public spaces. However in the Instagram age it is overwhelmed by a sea of tourists and evenings in the old town and on the promenade are like navigating a congested seal colony. Loved Nice!
Loved Nice! Clean and safe with so much to do with easy access to other locations. We went to Eze via taxi to the top and walked nietzches path down to the train station back to Nice. Try Socca (chickpea bread by Bar Rene Socca and Barbajuan, a philo wrapped Swiss chard and rice bow ties in a tomato sauce at Bozzi restaurant.
