Lots of restaurants to choose from, I would recommend you head to the Oldtown as the service and choice is better than the main street. Trams and transport network are fantastic. An incredible place with a vibrant atmosphere both day and night. After spending a full week exploring and enjoying Nice around the clock, I never once felt unsafe. Such a welcoming and secure city! My stay in Nice was destroyed by the thief who stole my wallet with all in it while I boarded the train after we left our rental car at the airport. I think it is a scandal how bad the airport transport to the city is (not) organized, even if they spend a fortune to make the tram and the new station. It is impossible to pay for the tram into the city (even French travellers gave up), and the Agustin station is apparently swarmed with pickpocket gangs, as I was told once I found out in the train that was robbed. It is a total mess. And the robberies appear to be same in the city, as the receptionist in our hotel told us. It is much more than I have expected.
It is much more than I have expected. The landscape is amazing. City centre, the old town area is cozy and the beach with sunset is superb. Also, I will highly recommend people live in Nice hotels and rent car to travel around - we went to Antibes, Menton, Cannes and Monaco. There's plenty to do in Nice, and we took advantage of it.
There's plenty to do in Nice, and we took advantage of it. But it was crowded and very hot in mid-July, so it was difficult to spend much time outside, especially since air-conditioning isn't universal in the city. Also, the nearest train station, Nice Riquier, isn't safe. My husband was pickpocketed while boarding a train by what seem to be a well-organized group, and there was no security visible or even a station attendant to report the theft to. Nice itself is honestly a destination to visit!! Beautiful views and many opportunities to do many activities. Weather was beautiful. A surplus of places to eat (all of which we tried were delicious) and anything you could ever want. One piece of advice would be to make sure to check beds for bed bugs. This lost us a whole day of our holiday due to this, which was frustrating but due to how beautiful Nice was it made up for it.Guest review byMadeleine

The balcony was so cute and we had our breakfast and dinner there if we weren’t out. There was everything you need in a home. There is an Aldi down the road, and a few pizza places on the same street, which are cheaper than the ones you would find in the centre. It's a 10 minute walk from the beach (feels like 5 minutes).
