Such a delightful town with stunning streets and hidden treasurers. Beautiful shops and Restaurants. Great place to stay if you want to visit Avignon. Buses go regularly from the town centre and drop off is a 10 minute walk to Palace of the Papes and Avignon Pont Bridge. So much better than driving and trying to find parking in a congested city.

St Remy is a small but well resourced town in a convenient part of Provence. It is very manageable of foot and is centrally located to much of the countryside if you are with a car. There are plenty of boutiques and shops, nice restaurants from which to choose. Try L'AO and Maison Marshall. Intermarche and Aldi are close by for home requirements. I am very pleased I chose to stay in St Remy rather than Avignon.

A lovely old town.
A lovely old town. Both its old centre and its surrounding boulevards. Unfortunately there are no taxis except to the big towns of Provence or the airports and stations. St Remy has an excellent Tourist Office with helpful staff.
The old centre has chic shops and some good museums. St Remy is definitely worth visiting.

Saint-Remy is a great location to explore all the Provence...
Saint-Remy is a great location to explore all the Provence area. The free parking was also a great asset. I could easily drive to Avignon, Arles, and anywhere I wanted to go without any place being too far away (Pont de Gard, villages, bamboo garden, even Orange coliseum)! I also enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk anywhere in the town for food (restaurant or grocery), and the very lovely walks and sights to see. I especially savored walking up to the hospital where Vincent Van Gogh stayed and going on the tour. One of the most moving experiences of my life. I loved the way his paintings were arranged throughout and the ones just outside the hospital in the fields showed the live actual trees he painted! I could look at the painting, then just lift my head, and THERE was the scene! I saw the real rocks, trees, etc. that he painted and I am an aspiring artist! But, most importantly, the PEOPLE of St Remi were all kind, welcoming, and tolerant of my lack of speaking French! I will never forget this trip!

Such a beautiful village/small town with such a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops to enjoy. You could stay for two weeks and eat somewhere fabulous every afternoon and evening. We loved the market on Wednesday and there is also a Saturday market too. Lots of fabulous fresh produce to sample. We would definately self cater in future so we could enjoy some of the market produce. In walking distance from the centre is the Monastery that Van Gogh stayed in, and the Roman remains of Glanum right on the doorstep.

Good hotel and service, but lacked some elements of luxury you'd expect given the price per night (i.e. shower very poor and all terrace's are not private and overlooked).
