The spa was good - had massages and used facilities Good bar with atmosphere Rooms were well decorated but a bit small - had a deluxe room and didn’t see a space difference to the two standard rooms save for us having a bath.

Last week of April means sunshine is plentiful and sunscreen a must even on cloudy days because the sun can come out in a few moments. Great ski area even late in the season, no lift lines, and good facilities in the town. This could be the best intermediate skiier resort in France.

Very good lift infrastructure, good links to the other valleys. A bit of a hike to/from the slopes at each end of the day. It's never going to be a beautiful town, but we were ther for the skiing which was great.

Excellent and we will definitely return. Lifts were well manned and hardly any queues even though there was a lot of people. Snow was amzing, plenty of food options to suit everybody - excellent apres ski facilities and good vibe to the place. Johns American was amazing, as was Favella (mexican), The Steak House.

Best ski resort ever, fantastic place, the way all lifts are skiable to (the contour of the ski run past the resort), the layout, it is expensive but there were a good variety of bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and activities. There is a feeling of people wanting to help I had an issue when I had been skiing all day (about 6 hours) coming back into the resort I could see Sud still running and skied down to find it shut, I was stuck there and my options was to walk back up or get a bus, one or the snowmobile drivers saw me and came down to me, he had some thing to do said he would be back in ten minutes to give me a lift, came straight back I am for ever grateful just so helpful gave me a lift up to the ski in point for Carn, cannot praise Thomas enough what a guy, and what a great end to the day (that could have been difficult for me) a ride up on a snowmobile. Such a great place !!!

    It’s a perfect ski resort.

It’s a perfect ski resort. Great for skiing and a great night life and food. We particularly enjoyed meeting our friends most days at the Igloo de Val Thorens . The actual igloo is a must see and very friendly English people who speak French. The perfect place for light lunch or just a drink with a great view of the slopes We loved getting the piste basher in the evening which took us to a restaurant on the slopes Chalet du lac With a set menu You need to book in advance asap Tango is great for a sit down meal or a relaxing pizza with friends on the sofas . Johns is a great restaurant, you must book as it’s Tinnie and always busy We did try quite a few restaurants and all the food was great

A ski resort that caters to both experienced and inexperienced skiers (such as myself). The ESF (Ecole du Ski Français) has very experienced and professional instructors. The sheer number of pistes and the pristine conditions are a sight to behold. There are numerous options for après-ski, catering to all tastes and budgets while maintaining an excellent atmosphere. Val Thorens makes you feel secure and at ease.

Good location (100m from pistes). Very good price considering it’s 4 stars in the centre of Val Thorens! Good continental and cooked breakfasts. Restaurant looked very nice but a bit fancy, especially when you’re looking for a big carb dinner before a competition. Plenty of other choices nearby though. Secure ski lockers downstairs and a communal heated boot room by the lobby!

    - Amazing view from the window - Very convenient location: slope access nearby, as well as, ski passes sell point, rentals (Intersport is even in the same building), and SPAR. You can come directly to the ski room from the slopes and reach the hotel from below via the Cairn lift - Plenty of tableware

The Pashmina is absolutely excellent. It is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. We had a deluxe XXL room with 2 bedrooms and a central lounge, which worked wonderfully for our family. We also had our own harman, which was a hit after a day's skiing.

Perfect location, only a 3 minute walk to the supermarket, bars and restaurants. Loved that the hotel was ski in & ski out. Staff were so lovely and helpful, breakfast was so tasty. The spa was great after a long day of skiing.
