Great location, brilliant staff, very clean and comfortable. Just note... many restaurants in Vichy are shut on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and many of the interesting bars only open at the weekend. We stayed in March it may be different in the peak tourist time!

The hotel was centrally situated with plenty of on street parking close by. It was immaculately clean and our room was really quiet, very comfortable and had a lovely bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the added bonus was the beautiful piano playing by one of the staff! We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but the breakfast room looked lovely. It was our first visit to Vichy and we had a lovely walk around the old part (which is being extensively renovated) and along the river which was beautiful.

Perfect hotel! Wonderful location in Vichy. Staff were amazing and so helpful and welcoming. The hotel itself was beautiful. We had a huge room with views out over the pool. It was extremely clean. The bed was also very comfy too! We could not praise this hotel more. Such a wonderful stay.

Nice quiet street. Cute old hotel with cool 1930s lift. Bed comfy, all fine and as you would expect for French hotel of type and price. We slept well.

The room was a nice size and had a mini bar to keep my dog's food cold.

So refined, so relaxing so utterly charming. In some ways Vichy is a throwback to different generation yet offers so much to the modern traveller- a beautiful lake to walk or cycle around, great wine bars and restaurants from top end Michelin starred to welcoming cafes.

Vichy, needless to say, is a unique place because of its beautifully preserved spa city centre, partly still functional, partly (especially the many luxury hotels) transformed but fortunately not torn down like they are so often in similar past-glory circumstances, and still defining the atmosphere of the place For those interested in recent history (yes, I am) there is of course the 1940-1944 period of the Vichy régime which was accommodated here, and although the city does not exactly advertise it, it isn't kept an embarassing secret either anymore, the subject is treated as it should be. Nice shops, not just the usual offers. Pleasant atmosphere, especially on the kind of early spring day when we visited the place. 2,5 hours train travel from Paris, city centre all very walkable. Visit the Gotham City-like Notre Dame des Malades church, a one-of- a-kind art déco religious building, full of sumptuously executed details, no costs spared evidently.

We stayed just overnight and into the afternoon of the next day. We saw all the fountain and spa sites, St Blaise Cathedral, some magnificent city architecture and had a lovely chat with a cafe owner about cinema over a great coffee. We indulged in a spectacular cake fest for morning tea, saw as little of the opera house as the officious door guards would allow (read none… not even a photo of the ceiling of the entry from outside the front door, but we found a window to take a shot anyway!), had great croissants, terrible burger and fries and met wonderfully helpful people on the street, who could not do enough for us. A very brief and mixed experience. Would have loved to enjoy some gardens but for the teeming rain, and didn’t make it to museums unfortunately. More time needed for sure in this very friendly, pretty town.

The town is very pretty, it’s well cared for.
The town is very pretty, it’s well cared for. Unfortunately there was major upgrades taking place all around the famous spa / thermal fountains so these were closed.
Many restaurants are closed Monday - Weds making the remainder very busy (book in advance, especially for those along the river).

The parc des source is under major restoration and is a miserable building site. There are many good restaurants in Vichy. The sources are interesting.
The church is a monstrous confection of modernism and someone’s deranged artistic ability.

Fantastic location for a stay in Vichy. Authentic apartment in a historical hotel building in the city center of Vichy. Very spacious. We really really liked staying there and would definitely come back at the end of the summer/beginning of autumn to enjoy the parcs and lake boulevard of Vichy.
