The facilities were amazing... plenty of open areas and to a high standard. The staff were so lovely! Looked after you well and very friendly. The bed was so comfortable and the rooms are so big. The location was a nice quiet location, to which in the nights of events became a busy area with music and laughter. I may add that you can't hear anything from the rooms. I cannot rate this place enough. This hotel is extremely dog friendly, having dog toys and signs for them too . Only a 20minute walk to Lidl supermarket.

FAQs about hotels in Aberdeen

Charm, Granite, Energy and Blooms

With a gently rolling landscape, Aberdeen moves elegantly between sandy beaches, picturesque stone houses, and blooming gardens. As Scotland’s 3rd-largest city, it is home to important universities, a busy harbour, and is a hub for the oil industry in the North Sea.

Walk along the Union Street ‘Granite Mile’, and visit some of the historic places like the Town House, Castlegate, or ‘Provost Skene’s House’. Don’t miss the Art Gallery and the Maritime Museum, and do some shopping in the city’s trendy shops. Choosing hotels in Aberdeen’s city centre allows you to explore this compact city on foot.

The charming Old Town is filled with bookstores, old buildings like the King’s College, and student cafés. The city won the ‘Britain in Bloom’ prize a stunning 10 times for its well-kept gardens.

The local airport offers direct train links with the central railway and coach station. Staying in a B&B, a cottage, or a hotel near Aberdeen Airport is a way to avoid the last-minute rush, while enjoying the surrounding green hills.

Aberdeen has some great places to visit, but they are well spread around the city. The city centre itself is looking very forlorn. Lots of money being spent to make it look nicer, but the LEZ has driven lots of motorists away, the dirty diesel busses somehow get an exemption from this though, so it still smells of fumes .

Had a week to stay at Aberdeen.

Had a week to stay at Aberdeen. Spent three days sight seeing and the remaining attending a medical conference. Aberdeen is one of the best cities I have visited in UK. Good options for sightseeing were available. Plan your tours before you visit. The Highlands and Loch Ness tour was a bit of a disappointment as the "supposed" scenic route was full of barren mountains shorn off greenery. The Glenfiddich distillery tour which lasts about an hour was the best. City of Aberdeen has many beautiful places to see including the Duthie Park, Marschial Place. Union Square station where the bus and railway stations and shopping mall are all in one place is a good place to visit.

I was only there for the evening.

I was only there for the evening. As a coastal town I was hoping to get some fish and chips but after 3/4 hour driving around- including along the main esplanade- I couldn't find a fish & chip shop. Obviously, a lot of the city activity is based on oil exploration support services. I'm sure the beach area would be pleasant on a warmer day.

A great shopping centre but the main street(Union Street)...

A great shopping centre but the main street(Union Street) was really a no-go area with roadworks. Has been like that for a couple of years and I have not visited that area for ages. Sadly the other shopping centres must have suffered a lengthy drop in footfall. The Links area was a long walk from the hotel so we didn't visit. Plenty of night life if you want it.

We enjoyed going to Newburgh Seal Beach up the coast a bit , it was so great to see all the seals and bird life. We also enjoyed the park in the centre of Aberdeen in the old riverbed. The park was a good place to take children to run around. There is a good cafe at one end of the Park that serves great coffee & snacks and the staff were really friendly. Cafe Andaluz and Pizza Express were good places to eat as a family. The old town and around the university area are nice places to walk.

This is my favourite hotel in Aberdeen. It's rooms are slightly quirky. Individual. Not the uniformity of modern chain hotels that are the same no matter where in the country you go. It's an old building with history, I like that. Food was excellent. Had breakfast and dinner. Very clean, staff very helpful. Have stayed here four times now. Family told me about it. Perfect location for shops, cinema and theatre.

Location is everything they say, and this is the most central location you could wish for. Only 5 mins walk from the train and bus station, and literally within a stones throw of the best bars and restaurants in Aberdeen. Great service, clean and simple accommodation and all at the best price. Much cheaper than all the hotels in the area. Very friendly and personal service from staff.

Perfect hotel with big room at an excellent location. The rooms were specious and we had two big beds and a lot of space. The location is perfect to get into Aberdeen and explore the town - also good parking on the back of the hotel - thought the entrance is very narrow. Finally, very good value for the stay. Can highly recommend.
