Lesley welcomed us with a great smile on her beautiful farm ! The place is a little remote, as a result the night is calm and ver comfy. In the morning, you can enjoy a full scottish breakfast on the terrace and do a little walk around the property. A great experience, thank you Lesley !

Lovely wee toon. Lots ongoing. KILT-WALK w/e. Helpful locals. Clean and tidy streets. Pubs, cafe’s and shops doing a great trade. Many outdoor facilities to choose from. Shopping outlet by Loch Lomond a brilliant place to visit. The wee eaterie by Pavers Shoe shop is great for food, drinks,people watching, views and a good venue for men, when the ladies go shopping 😄. This wee toon was rammed with walkers and “Kilties” ( people assisting the walkers and doing a great job of traffic management etc. keeping pedestrians and drivers safe , throughout the whole w/e ). Beautiful scenery on the walks to Loch Lomond shores, if you can get on the boat tour then I would definitely recommend, so tranquil. The Tullie Inn is directly next to the train station and across the road is the boat trips booking office. We’ve stayed here a few times. Pleasant staff, cosy, comfortable and clean spacious rooms.

We have stayed there before. Like where it sits on the Loch. Easy access to parking. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Food good and great variety. The only downside is there is no sitting area away from the restaurant at night. Could do with a little bar to have a quiet drink before going to bed. Didn't spend a huge amount of time in Balloch bit did a Loch Cruise with Sweeneys which was very pleasant. Also took a walk through the Castle Park and saw a Red Squirrel there, park is beautiful too which also has a walled garden. Visitor information was very accommodating, good food. Train, buses good service. Resturant, Mavi, Princess Rose, Tullies so far Good food and hosts. Loved the train and bus drivers helpful too. Corner store by train very accommodating, can get sim card for your phone and some groceries, small deli, people use a lot, friendly owners/workers xx Shopping mall too/like. With things children can ride and ply on. Buses to go from Balloch area, walked a lot from Bruach Lodge, thru a park with picnic tables with fire pits to cook otherside is view of the Loch. Stop off to eat in Duck Bay/Hotel, good food in restaurant, pleasant service and coffee shop with eats. Still discovering xx Small pharmacy, gift shop too Need more shopsAAnonymous

Fantastic breakfast menu you can choose from the evening before. Even better the taste and quantity of served meals we were not able to finish. We had a very short but the better stay at Gowanlea Guest House I would recommend to anybody. If coming back to Balloch and surroundings, definitely going to stay at Gowanlea again.Tomas MSlovakia

Exceptionally well equipped, very clean, and comfortable. We can't wait to book again and would highly recommend the lodges. Duck Bay is a five minute walk away and you can also walk into Balloch which is a lovely town with so many nice pubs and places to eat. Also very dog friendly. Balloch House was a particular favourite - we had the most delicious roast on the Sunday.

Everything was excellent. We drove to Luss, Helenburgh and Balloch which was not far. We were walking to beautiful country park and lovely shopping close to Cameron House Hotel, walked pass Boathouse keep walking to small shopping centre. We were walking to Duck Bay Hotel and Cameron House Hotel which was not far from this area.
